Bill Clinton meets with Former Opponent Senator John McCain to discuss education reform , and later meets Speaker Gephardt, and releases  an bipartisan education reform proposal :

President Clinton: Today I met with Senator McCain and Speaker Gephardt to discuss education reform and due to conversations with both the Senator and the Speaker I believe it is the time to release our new proposal to reform our education system. Secretary Jeffords will be outlining our bipartisian proposal.

Secretary Jeffords: Our new bipartisan education reform proposal , will do these 6 major things

1. It will increase funding for schools in low income districts by a total of 30 billion dollars

2. Teachers in struggling school districts will get higher pay then what the average pay will be

3. It requires state testing for children who are in grades two through eight in math and reading, while having an writing test in grades four and seven. For kids in high school they will be required to pass the state test in math, reading , writing , and civics to graduate high school.

4. The overall test scores of each school will be collected by each state, and schools who fail to meet certain requirements in multiple years , will then have to be monitored by the state or the city more carefully to make sure they meet these requirements .

5. Expand the access of the world wide web to all schools

6. Have technology classes , in every school in the nation , at every grade level.

Former Speaker New Gingrich Blasts the proposed agreement Sad

Gingrich : This bill is a total disgrace , and shame on Senator McCain for going allowing with this farce of a bill. This bill does nothing to actually fix our educational problems , and all it does is take more power away from American families and gives it to government. This is a typical Washington solution where despite all the evidence points to our education system becoming worse ever since the Department of Education was created, yet instead of shrinking its power they decide to massively expand it . I am going to use all all over the next week to stop this bill in the Senate and make shore this farce doesnt make it on the house floor where it will pass.

The House passed Clinton's education reform proposal almost word to word while the Senate due to filibuster had to make some amendments. Here is the new Senate Bill

3. It requires state testing for children who are in grades two through eight in math and reading, while having an writing test in grades four and seven. For kids in high school they will be required to pass the state test in math, reading , writing , and civics to graduate high school.

4. The overall test scores of each school will be collected by each state, and schools who fail to meet certain requirements in multiple years , will then have to be monitored by the state or the city more carefully to make sure they meet these requirements . will give its students a chance to switch to a better public school.

5. Expand the access of the world wide web to all schools

6. Have technology classes , in every school in the nation , at every grade level.

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich angered by this Bill holds and speaks at tea party protests in Washington to protest expansion of government by both parties.

Former Speaker Gingrich: The Bill that passed last week was a farce, and a disgrace not designed to help improve our education system but to make America more socialist. Today we stand here opposed to that and I will announce that we will be forming a PAC called the 21st Century Tea Party to stop big government from growing even bigger from now on, and thanks to all of you we will win. The road begins with us showing Washington how angry and disgusted we are , and if they dont respond to that we respond by sending them home whether they are a Democrat or a Republican. If that doesnt work we will have someone who is part of this movement run for President in 2004 and I can guarantee you we will win then.

Senator Bernie Sanders says he will filibuster Trade Agreement:

Sanders: The idea that in a time when more and more of our manufacturing jobs are being shipped overseas, that instead of making that practice more stricter , we make it easier while at the same time increasing the H1B visa which corporations use to lower wage standards in the US is wrong . Due to that reason I will filibuster it , and I hope progressives in the senate  and conservatives who claim to care about sovereignty join us in stopping this bill as only together can we stop this disastrous trade agreement from becoming law.

NBC News Special Report:Senate Ratifies Military Alliance between The United States of America and India:

Brokaw: We are coming to you to with breaking news, the Senate has ratified the proposed military alliance and nuclear treaty with India . It has been approved overwhelmingly with a margin of 97-2. This means that all sanctions on India will be dropped and they will be given access of using nuclear energy as long as they meet the standards of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Also now if a country or terrorist group attacks either country both countries will be at war with that country or terrorist group. The only requirement for either country coming to the defense of each other is if they meet the requirement of spending 2% of their GDP on defense. So while the military treaty has been ratified the trade agreement has not if any of you are wondering. Ok now we will head back to the regularly scheduled programming.

NBC Nightly News(7/2/01): Massive Anti Globalization Protests all over the Country

Tom: Today all over the country there were major protests against not only President Clinton's proposed trade deal but against globalization it self.

Commentator: In Seattle, just like in the famous 1999 " Battle in Seattle", a large amount of people turned out to protest against the WTO, and Clinton proposed trade deal.

Unions marched on DC , protesting against this trade agreement and calling it NAFTA 2.0

And In New York we had a surprise guest speak to a crowd about why he opposes this trade deal. Here is Donald Trump a Billionaire himself speaking out against trade deals.

Trump: Today , Im am here to speak out against this terrible trade deal . In the 1970s and 1980s our politicians said our trade deals with Japan and Kuwait will help our economy grow like we never have before and guess what all they did was created huge trade deficits and outsource our jobs to those countries. In the 1990s they told us nafta and opening up trade with China will make our economy great again, and guess what it had the same results as the trade deals before did. Now they are claiming the same thing about this trade deal with India, but this time we the people have found out that they have lied to us and we shall not allow this farce to continue. We know that these liar , or losers dont care about the people , so this time we will send a message to them that we know your are a terrible loser as well.

Congress goes on recess without being able to get the votes needed to break possible Sanders filibuster on trade deal. Bill Clinton meets with former president Bush to discuss strategy on how to make sure deal passes once congress gets back in session

Their conversation(not seen by public) :

Clinton: My team, and the senate majority an minority whips have identified that currently we have 52 Senators who will support this trade deal if it comes up for a vote and 33 Senators will not only vote no on this bill but will filibuster this bill. This means we currently have 15 Senators who are in the undecided camp(10 Democrats and 5 Republicans), and we will need 8 of them to vote to stop a filibuster, so this trade deal can pass. This is critical as if the other side bats over 500 and gets them to filibuster this deal , we wont be able to bring this up until the next congress.

So President Bush what I hope you can do , is to help me by using your resources to go to the states of those 5 Republican senators and make sure the supporters of at least 4/5 Republicans pressure them to stop a filibuster as if we cant get 4 Republicans, this  wont pass.

Bush: Of Course Mr. President, I will be honored to do so , and I will gather up some of my old staff from my administration and President's Reagan's to not only get the Republicans on your side but get many democrats in swing states to also vote for this trade deal. I will have the staff assembled by the end of August so we are ready to win this battle as soon as congress gets back in session.

Clinton: Thank You President Bush, and I hope to meet you back here on August 31st , and hopefully at the signing ceremony when this trade agreement becomes law.

Trump thinking about entering the 2004 Democratic primary race

Larry King: President Clinton tomorrow will kick off a two week tour across the country by selling his trade deal directly to the people, so he can convince undecided democratic senators to vote for this bill and help it pass. Do you think it will work . and what are your thoughts on it.

Trump: Im not sure it will work, but if it does it will be disastrous for our country .

King: Why NAFTA hasnt seemed to hurt the economy over the past 8 years

Trump: Thats because of the tech boom is making the bad affects of this enormous trade deficit we have . Once this boom comes to an end , our economy will tank as we wont have all the manufacturing jobs we once have to bail us out of a recession. What President Clinton should do is renegotiate  are existing trade deals not expand them. If he fails to do so I will heavily consider running for President in 2004.

King: With what party

Trump: As a democrat of course , the reform party has fallen apart and the republicans are even more of making these horrendous deals then the democrats. In fact this bill will pass because of the Republicans not the Democrats, as even if all the undecided dem senators vote yes and republicans no the treaty will pass with vote of 35 republicans and 27 democrats. In fact this bill can pass with 40 Republicans and 20 democrats which means the president instead of fighting the other party is siding with them. Its just sad I mean after 12 years of ballooning republican trade deficits, President Clinton decides not to reverse that trend but accelerate them.

King: What else makes you mad

Trump: The fact is both parties have sold out to multinational corporations that they have to abide by less regulations then I do in real estate. its just that horrible.
