Irishmen and true subjects, of whatever rite!

I know many of your hearts will never be false to your King. Any of you disgusted by Lord Mountgarret's treachery - whether old nobility of the realm with no truck with radicals, Irish warriors true to your given word - will find a welcome reception at my camp in Oban. And when this war is done we shall see about a good settlement, the Graces long promised for good Catholic subjects, along with the security owed to loyal Protestants.

A fine and fair welcome to ‘King Archibald’ of ‘the Scotch’, so late and total a convert to the Divine Right of Kings that he crowns himself without consulting parliament or Kirk!
