Depends on who the Democrats nominate and the state of the nation in the Fall of 1972.
His approvals right now are more due to a rally around the flag affect and likely will be lower by Election Day .


Who would you support for the nomination : Sanford , Humphrey , or someone else

Frank Church is my favorite politican of this era, but in this scenario he better waits to '76. Would support Humphrey but doubt he has a real chance to win after the loss in '68.
