My results:
#1   Pacific Coast / Hawaii
#2   NYC / New England
#3   Upper Mid-west
#4   Mid Atlantic
#5   Rust Belt
#6   Rocky Mountain / Alaska
#7   Upstate New York
#8   Border States: Virginia, Tennessee & Kentucky
#9   Desert Southwest
#10   South Atlantic
#11   Texas
#12   Deep South
#13   Peripheral South

My response on the concealed gun question probably moved the Rocky Mountain and Desert Southwest regions down on my ranking.

I grew up in the Chicago area, I have lived here in Iowa since August 2004, and I lived in northern Virginia from March 2000 to August 2004.

Why is Upstate New York lower on my list than Rocky Mountains/Alaska?  I thought that the Rockies are more NRA-heavy than upstate New York.

Why isn't Deep South dead last on my list instead of Peripheral South?  I thought that Deep South is most socially conservative, and I'm the opposite of that.

Where can I find more explanations?
