Heh. It looks like all those Republican endorsements are really helping Joe, doesn't it?

Hopefully, if Lamont's victory is big enough, the party elders can talk him out of running as an Indy.

Agreed. There is an increasing amount of nervous speculation to the effect that, if Lieberman bolts the party, the GOP will force the joke candidate they have now off the ballot in favor of someone who can win. It would still be an uphill battle for whomever runs, of course, but the seat won't be quite as safe for the Democrats- the Republicans will now have a 10 percent chance of winning. Wink It is something to be prepared for, though.
