Muscat (Maltese PM) was the subject of a lot of her investigations, but I really doubt the government (or the opposition) of an EU member state would actually kill a journalist (outrageous things are happening in Hungaria and Poland, but they aren't going this far). I think it's more likely that some shady businessman or the maybe even the mafia did it (or a shady businessman with mafia ties).

She reported on the Panama Papers. This was the FSB.

She did report on Russian businessmen making shady deals with the Maltese government (and getting Maltese passports in return)...

Eh, Malta's been selling passports to rich Chinese (nearly all of whom have illegitimate wealth) for a while now.

Yeah, that's true. Corruption in Malta isn't exactly a well-kept secret Tongue
