For whatever reason, whenever people identify a restroom as being public, they feel empowered to gross out the place in a way they would never allow to happen at home.

Sadly, this seems to be a common attitude people have toward all public utilities. This is one of the reasons I'm skeptical of eliminating public property, though I have no attachment to it on moral grounds.

I believe you mean private property.

Eliminating private property would coincidentally eliminate privacy, by the way.

I think it's closer to the concept that my using the ladies' room is either equivalent or worse than men who put down the toilet seat after they're done.
Don't worry - I disagree with that.
