The Washington Post and WUSA-TV already investigated the allegation and found inconsistencies.

If the allegation was real, the next place you go shouldn't be a right-wing blog that pushed the Qanon crap.

Dr. Tyson has released a statement

Somebody post it

Her statement just doesn't sound believable.

All of this said, I would believe allegations like this against certain other politicians. That's because some certain politicians are known to have policies that are intentionally designed to harm people. I'm thinking of some of the members of Congress who support things like cutting Social Security.

The more I read, the more I'm convinced that this is a deep-rooted conspiracy by the Far Right.

He's a pretty well known Dem political insider in Virginia

His Twitter page is full of right-wing talking points.

Now TWO people say NBC was lying about Fairfax's language during that meeting.

My faith in the media is at an all-time low.

The key question: are these Leaks coming from the inept gop or from warring factions within dem leadership?

I think it's a soft coup by the GOP.

As I posted in another thread, this seems like something that should matter, but it won't. That's not really how politics works. Big scandals involving top Republicans in other states didn't bring down their parties either (eg Missouri), and that is because voters don't just robotically turn on the entire party for something that involves individuals.

Problem with this is that the media covers Democratic scandals a lot more than Republican scandals.

Still no photo of Herring and the days almost up, so I'm guessing it may not exist at all.

A TV station in Richmond claimed to have photos, but this station is owned by a right-wing company.

Stepped away from politics for a week, and there's this massive mega-thread about Virginia.  Let's see if I have this right.  The Virginia Governor was photographed in blackface, the Lt. Governor was charged with sexual assault, and the attorney general has admitted to wearing a blackface rapper costume?

And the Republican Senate Leader published a yearbook full of blackface photos and ethnic slurs.

The local news just did a story about the problems of all 3 Democrats, but failed to make a single mention of the Senate Republican Leader's problems.

That's our so-called "liberal" media.

Oh my goodness... can someone put an end this mess? Northam and Fairfax should quit and put the interest of VA first and the Dem Party second before desperately trying to hang on their seats, where they have lost all political capital and credibility. This dumb comment really reminds me of Trump's S-hole remark. Probably it's even more stupid (to assume it won't come out in a matter of days).

Uh, it's already been confirmed by multiple people that Fairfax didn't make this remark.

Which sources? Kasie Hunt and NBC are credible sources, I'd say. But even if he didn't, I believe Dr. Tyson.

I believe Fairfax, because a far-right website that spreads QAnon conspiracy theories isn't where you go if you have a story.

Dr. Tyson is a Democrat, so it looks unlikely to me this is a political or partisan stunt.

Fred Phelps was too.

A local politician who covered up a vehicular assault case was too.

She went to the Washington Post, who didn't publish it.

Maybe the Washington Post has journalistic standards. Big League Politics doesn't.

I'm disappointed (but sadly not surprised) that the media has ignored Tommy Torment being the editor of a racist yearbook.

So am I the only person who thinks Herring should stay?

I can see that what he did 40 years ago might be offensive, but that was also a common thing back then. I vaguely remember an SNL sketch that did basically the same thing he did. I know it doesn't seem right by today's standards, but that was common in the '80s.

I think a lot of people are starting to think Northam really isn't in that photo. But I don't know why he initially confessed to being in it.
