I thought this whole "issue" was just... ridiculous and wrong. It should have never been mentioned by the congressperson in the first place, and it should have never been dragged on more than that. While I know Trump has many awful ideas, I think he was really trying to do the right thing here (as advised by Kelley) and just sucks at words and empathy big league. This is a lot of why Kelley advised him not to call. Of course, Trump then made the issue worse by getting defensive and weird on Twitter, but I wish for once we had let this particular issue die.

Anyway, I thought Kelley's response was dignified and way more than what the situation called for, and hopefully it puts the whole thing to rest. It was gross.
