Trump was already racist.

I do think the stress of the job is eating away at his mental health, and as an old man, he is not capable of handling the stress, and he's certainly not getting enough sleep to let his brain recover.

But I will not blame his evilness on dementia or any mental illness. He is reflective of who he was in the 80s. Definitely showing the decline of old age, which may or may not include dementia, but there is reason enough for him to not be in office even without taking his health into account.

I think both Trump and Biden have reached their personal limit when it comes to age and acuity and I don't want either as president. I won't claim they have dementia, because I am not someone who can make that diagnosis, but it is clear they are both suffering from the slow-down that we all face in our latter years, though it comes at different times for different people.

Fluctuations, Exacerbations, and Decline in Functioning — Where is Trump Headed?
Quote
In summary, there is currently a clear indication for comprehensive evaluation, but there is no observation or data that can definitively state that whatever Trump’s underlying pathology, the fluctuations we are seeing are not, quite possibly, consistent with exacerbations and recoveries that are all inherent to Trump’s long-standing baseline level of dysfunction. Of course, even going back to the older videos, despite some significant differences,

Quote
Yes, “Houston, we have a problem…”

No, the problem is not likely to improve or become any less dysfunction or any less dangerous.

We firmly believe that there is sufficient information to state that Trump is unfit to serve as POTUS. But until we have additional validated, objective clinical data, no person can offer any definitive diagnosis and we are all left in an ominous dark place as to Trump’s prognosis, and the dangers we face during the remainder of Trump’s time in office.

(Note: thread title being changed from "worsening dementia" to "mental deterioration". The linked rticle makes the excellent point that from the outside we cannot definitively know what is causing his deterioration, we can only observe it.)

Thank you.

Mr. Trump delivers a statement like a third grader reading his lines for the Christmas play:

I'd pay good money to watch a subsequent interview where he was asked to explain what he'd just read.
That's an insult to most kids' reading ability. It's like the ones who have dutifully memorized words that they don't know and are trying to recite them. Dude's got the benefit of the teleprompter and still sounds like he doesn't believe a single word.

So that advertisement would be 400x more effective without the laugher.

Trump made a big show of drinking water with one hand at the rally last night. If you look, you can see he's using his pinky finger underneath the glass to support it. Dude is really going downhill with being in a state of constant stress. He was built to be relaxing somewhere at this age, not getting little sleep and tons of stress. However, I have no sympathy as he chose this and could choose to stop, but he won't. I can only hope the underwhelming turnout last night means he won't get COVID19 on top of everything else.
