A bit late to the party on this bit, but since the convention hasn't closed yet, I want to propose this amendment to our bylaws:

We have an issue with inactivity in this game. This ensures that we are holding ourselves accountable by endorsing people who are willing to make an effort.

Why should party members have to request endorsement? As a party member, should we not expect our parties support in an election?
What benefit is there to being a party member if you have to fight for the party's support?

It shouldn't be difficult for a party member to explain to the party why they should be supported. If someone can't even be bothered to explain why out party members should support them, then how can we reasonably expect them to be active once getting the job? This also prevents people who clearly do not share the same basic views as outlined in our platform from joining the party for the purpose of getting elected with our votes.

As for the benefit of being in this party, it's still a group of likeminded individuals who share the same common goals as outlined in the platform. Nothing about that has changed.

People have every right to join whichever party they choose, whether they agree with the party or not. But the parties should also have the right to choose whether or not we actually support a candidate, regardless of party affiliation.

We are now voting on Bylaw Amendments. This vote is open to all registered Federalists and will last for 72 hours.

A bit late to the party on this bit, but since the convention hasn't closed yet, I want to propose this amendment to our bylaws:
