I didn't know what year of his contract he was in.  I will laugh if he stays unemployed.  Although, with how quicly Tampa Bay grabbed Albert Haynesworth, I would be very suprised if Jackson isn't in high demand come March.

Apparently, Maclin is out with an injury.  The game is still scoreless.  I'm thinking the Cardinals may have a chance here.

Buh-bye Eagles.  And, I have just lost my second straight week on Pick a Winner...  Oh well, the Eagles are in the cellar with the Redskins.  Now, if we can get San Francisco to do their job, then Dallas will just be one game out of first in the NFC East!

The Seahawks are beating the Ravens 19-7 almost half time.  I wonder, though, how long they can survive on just field goals?  They are leaving points on the board big time.  Seattle better hope Joe Flacco and Co. don't wake up at halftime, or they're toast.

Houston is cursed.  F this town.  Of course we're #1 in the AFC for 1 day, and our starter goes down.

That said, this isn't a terrible read....though I HAVE remained cautiously pessimistic the whole season...the phrase "too good to be true" keeps comin' back.

At least Matt Leinart has a bye week to get ready.  A relatively soft schedule won't hurt, either.

Dallas finally pulled it off against the Redskins.  27-24 in OT.  Dallas can't breathe for too long because they have the suddenly hot Miami Dolphins coming to town Thursday.

Dallas just barely squeaked by.  That was a tough one, probably because they were wearing the losing unis.  I hate those throwback unis.  They need to be thrown-away uniforms.  Anyway, the 'Boys are 7-4 now waiting to visit Arizona on December 4.

What a disappointment. Miami could have MADE this Thanksgiving.

I'm glad they didn't. Smiley

Such a shame that it had to end against the Patriots but at least we have been put out of our misery this season.

Had to end against the Patriots???

This season was over in September.

Hate to rub it in, but Philly is now tied with Washington for last place in the division.  Now, if we can just get New Orleans to take care of business tomorrow night, my 'Boys will be all alone on top of the division. Smiley

The Houston Texans are down to their 3rd string quarterback now after Matt Schaub and Matt Leinart have both been lost for the season.  The Tennessee Titans are 2 games behind the Texans with 5 games left.  Is it possible, if Matt Hasselbeck stays healthy, that Tennessee comes from behind and wins the division and leave the Texans on the golf course in January?

Pretty much puts the final nail in the Eagles coffin.

Who do you think the Eagles will be looking at in the draft?  What is their biggest need, do you think?

Forget about the damn draft. This is a coaching issue.

I agree with you there.  I guess like Terry Francona in Boston, a coach who went from World Series champions to losing his team's focus, is what Andy Reid is experiencing right now.  Reid had the Eagles on a nice playoff run for several years and even brought them to the Super Bowl a few years ago, but I guess he has lost this team.  Teams go through that.

Wow, what a horrible week for the NFC East.  All four teams were on the short end of the stick.  Philadelphia went down Thursday, then Washington got knocked out by the Jets, the Cowboys got suprised by the Cardinals, and the Giants got edged out by the Packers.  This sets up a good matchup next week with the New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys for the lead in the division.  The division winner will have, at best, a 11-5 record will win the division (Dallas) and depending on what happens in Week 14, it could be a 10-6 team winning the division (Dallas or New York).

Dallas played alright for the most part last night, but our defense was non-existent in the clutch.  I feared once Dallas scored that 50-yard touchdown with 5:00 to go we may have scored too soon.  I knew Eli Manning was one of the best at engineering clutch touchdown drives and he did just that.  Dallas could have sealed the deal, though, if Miles Austin had caught that pass with the Cowboys up 34-29 just before the 2 minute warning.  That would have given the Cowboys a first down and would have really put New York in deep trouble with only one timeout remaining.  This game was not lost due to Tony Romo or to Felix Jones (although his fumble deep in his own end proved to be the difference).  This loss belongs to the defense.  We were gashed, we kept blitzing which opened up huge passing lanes for Eli Manning and Mario Manningham and Hakeem Nicks.  Now, New York gets to go home and face Washington, then "visit" the Jets, then host the Cowboys.  They get to spend the last three weeks at their home stadium.  Certainly no gimmies for the Giants. Washington has been playing rather well of late almost beating the Patriots yesterday.  The  Jets are getting warm and the Cowboys are still going to be tough.  The Cowboys meanwhile have to visit Tampa Bay, come home for Philly, and go visit the G-men.  Tampa Bay should be a win, Philadelphia should be as well, but it is a rivalry where records get tossed out the window and they will go in fiery mad to New York.  If Dallas can go to New York at 9-6 and New York can win just once the next two weeks and welcome Dallas with a record of 8-7, then the final game of the season will determine the division.  The onus right now is on the Cowboys.  They pretty much face must wins the rest of the season.  The Giants, by virtue of their win last night, only need to win 2 of their last 3.

There's nothing I can really say about the Cowboys.  The need a defense bad.

I second that.

Here's a coaching carousel question to pose:  Will Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan of the Dallas Cowboys survive the offseason?  The Cowboys defense is porous.

Cowboys defense is awful, but it's still better than it was last year.  They need to stop pretending they are talented and actually improve the roster.

I agree with you on both points.  I think a change definitely has to come from the DC.  Blitzing nearly every down against the Giants with our secondary being the wet tissue paper that it is burned us more than it burned them.

What has happened to the Packers? Has the loss of Greg Jennings hurt them that bad?  And, the Giants seemed to have used up a lot of energy in Dallas and have managed to fall behind 17-3 to Washington at halftime.

Nice to see the Chiefs standing strong, even though it probably won't last. Wink

It should be 21-0 Chiefs with drives that close to the goal line, but they left 15 points on the table.

Awesome, four underdog victories so far today (if WAS-NYG can be counted as such). Smiley

I think it can because the Giants controlled their own destiny to the division crown (and really still do, but the margin for error is gone).  I said this before, but if the Jets can beat the Giants next week and Dallas can beat Philly, then it would make the rematch in Jersey meaningless and Dallas will likely have the privilege of hosting the Atlanta Falcons in the first round.

Really, this loss is the best thing that could have happened to Green Bay.  It gets the perfect monkey off their backs and now they can focus on going deep in the playoffs and winning a second straight Super Bowl.  I think the 18-0 record was one thing that haunted the 2007-2008 Patriots.
