I'm considering supporting Beto alongside Andrew Yang.
What if he defends Omar? (:

Hmmmm....im listening Beto

Trust his conservative record, not his liberal promises. Let's not fall into this trap again.

This. Beto is Obama 2.0.

Sounds great to me.  I'd take Obama back in a heartbeat.

Are there people stupid enough to believe that accusing Beto of being Obama 2.0 is going to hurt him?
This is the Democratic primary people, not the Communist party one.
Last time I checked, wanting single payer and free college is not communist.

If he doesn't support single payer he can get lost. People are dying in this country because they don't have healthcare,  we don't have time for "bipartisanship"

I could care less how much he raised. He's a sell out plain and simple. He most likely never supported single payer and only did it to attract an audience. I would vote Harris over him at this point, I'm not kidding!!!!! She's not perfect either but at least she's mostly running as an actual progressive.

Oh, now money raised doesn't matter? Got it.
That's not the point..... I do like that he doesn't take money from donors and is able to fundraise well without having to do that. But other then that, Beto sucks. Here's a guy who literally ran to the left when he was running for the senate in a RED STATE and now all of a sudden he's disavowed that, and you expect me to believe him? And second of all, I'm supporting Gillibrand this time, not Bernie(he really is too old), so your whole strawman is nonsense.

Beto might be the most repulsive person running, though it's hard to beat Booker at that game.

Next on the list of people who are going to kill the democratic party with their delusional whining.

Real question, when are we actually going to see Beto’s policies? Because right now the only indication are his blue dog endorsements (plus half of his support on here is from #bothsides moderate heroes, Republicans, and libertarians). I want to like Beto, but I really need to know what he’s running as first.
So when Beto initially said he wasn’t supporting Medicare for All as a presidential candidate I was miffed and briefly stopped supporting him because I thought he had nothing in place and would try to negotiate something with obstructionist Republicans. I walked it back when he came out in favor of Medicare for America which was written by Reps. DeLauro and Schakowsky. Medicare for America would move everyone from the ACA Exchange to Medicare, folks (like myself) who are about to age out of their parent’s insurance can join as well as others not insured, and all children born after its enaction would be born into the program. The main difference between this and Bernie’s plan is that people can retain their employer insurance if they so choose. This is much more realistic and puts us on a path to single payer.

The purists will hate it but it is ambitious and will get us to universal coverage. Eliminating all private insurance is unrealistic.

https://slate.com/business/2019/03/beto-orourke-health-plan-medicare-for-all-america.html

I need to find the link but while 81% of Dems would support Medicare for All, 91% support Medicare for America. Bernie supporters who think he can snap his fingers and make all his dreams the law of the land will resist this but Beto’s plan is progressive and attainable.
So a public option basically?

The purist haters will still say this wasn’t enough:

Strawman much?
Most leftist's problem with Beto is him moving to the right on healthcare and not supporting free college and Bernie's policies. Not things like this.

Beto should also campaign some in Florida.  Many Dems will have bad matchup numbers vs Trump in the all important Florida.... Beto is a candidate that could potentially gain some strength in vs Trump in Florida (even if he is lower in the Florida Primary polls).
There’s no point. The narrative will be set by the time Florida votes. If he can’t make something happen in Iowa, Nevada, California, or Texas it’s over.
This. His focus should be on Iowa.
But only in places like Dubuque, Dallas, Polk and the college counties. He has little appeal to rural voters, who appear solidly Biden at this point
