This resolution is based on a
RL resolution being proposed by senators of both parties to combat incidents of sexual harassment in society and in workplaces, namely the Congress where it was recently reported that
offenders receive special treatment and protection when they touch someone without their consent, and their identities are concealed. This resolution requires sexual harassment training for all members and employees of the Senate, and authorizes periodic surveys so that victims of sexual harassment might feel comfortable reporting these incidents with the option of anonymity.
It is my hope that both houses of Congress adopt such a rule, and as such I urge my colleagues to vote for this needed reform to our chamber's rules.
