Labor is a center-left party?  Interesting description Tongue  But in all seriousness, Simfan is right, the aggregate PM score is pretty neat.

Considering the aggregate PM score shows an exact medium between extreme left and absolute center- do you have a better way to characterize the party?

I was half-joking, but yeah.  I'd say given all of the industries that would be nationalized if the Labor platform were enacted, if your Vice-Chairman is correct, then it is a socialist party:

Nationalization of property? If we approve this we won't be the Labor Party, we'll be the Communist Party.

If it's not approved, it would just be the Liberal Party.

All due respect Xahar, but your claim simply has no basis in reality.

...Yes it does. Nationalization is what separates socialism from modern liberalism/'progressivism'.

I don't mean that as an attack nor am I looking to get in a fight over this.  I just think it is important to know what the parties represent so The People have a clear choice.  Anyway, I don't want to hijack this thread, so I'll be on my way.

Labor is a large party with diverse viewpoints represented. If someone is Vice Chair, its because that person is a respected leader within the party, not because the rest of us want to make all of his wildest dreams come true.

I was referring to the Labor platform rather than the fact that Senator TNF was Vice-chairman of the party.

The platform was adopted with 0 no votes and 1 abstention.

The revised version, yes.  But in any event, as I said, I'm not looking to hijack your party's committee thread.  I was merely making an observation.
