I know this is not the place for this, but I'll confess: I was laughing as that agreement was being negotiated, because of all of the reactions I'd be forced to simulate as GM.
In exchange of Hong Kong, Opium Trade will be reopen!

LMAO

It's funny that even not playing anymore, X's actions continue to have massive consequences.

And not just in obvious ways either.  Alas, my cause celebre of an independent Ireland ended in disaster Sad
Well, you should be proud of yourself, you have been the most influential player!

You have no idea...

No but really, you have made the game much more exciting.

Thanks Smiley  I hope to continue doing so.  Augustus III's ghost may yet continue to haunt Europe in the years to come.

I hope you'll give me a reply on the question I've asked via PM.

I never got a PM question about the game.  Could you re-send it?

That post right there was pretty chilling, especially with nothing around it to give context.

This.  Also, I am soooooo proud of Poland Smiley

A "revolution" is no different than any other kind of revolt; it just clothes itself in a fancier title. And, when you really think about it, half this game has been creating, fighting, or supporting one revolt or another. Here's a list of all the revolts that come to mind so far:

Poland I: Sejm v. Augustus III
America I: Indians and French v. Britian (and Indians)
Ireland I: Catholics v. Britain
Russia I: Ivan IV v. Elizabeth
Poland II: Alexander II v. Sejm/National Assembly
Russia II: Peter III v. Elizabeth/Paul/Catherine
HRE I: Holy Roman Empire v. Prussia
Moldova I: Moldova v. Ottomans
Russia III: Cossacks v. Russians/Polish/Crimeans
Netherlands I: Orangists v. Republicans
America II: Indians v. British

Honorable Mentions:
Norwegian Nobles
Egyptians
Georgians
Australian Aborigines
Croatians

In the pipeline:
Bulgaria, Greece, Wallachia, Finland? Sardinians? Somewhere in Austria? Colonists somewhere?

And I'm sure there are one or two I missed. And just remember: the whole line of revolt dominoes was started by X trying to become an absolute monarch. Thanks X.

My ghost will never stop haunting you...

Fine. Best wishes for everything.

So, I suggest that Lumines has total control of the Ottoman army until the war is over. And then we will find a new player (or new players).

X told me recently that he would love to join again this game when he will have more free time (busy with schools right now).  There is Averroes Nix who is interested in playing, sadly when he told me, we were already full.

Well, just to be clear, I meant if I have more free time and it's still going on after finals (so like late December).

...of course, then you'd have to stop after a few weeks because of the new semester. If you don't think you can join at this point in the year when things are are still pretty easy I don't think you'll be able to join period.

True.  Yeah, I probably shouldn't join.

I am greatly annoyed by the fact that many war start lately in the turn. Even if I hadn't sent my orders yet, I still wrote most of them and I am going to send them to Spamage today. I wrote them by not knowing a full war was going to happen, something I didn't expect.

Simply put forward, I simply don't have the time to prepare for military moves in a such big war that is happening in the case I would decide to join.

So, I will send my Spamage like if if I didn't know that a war happened. And I will take the decision to join or not next turn. Rush rush rush aren't good conditions to play, and I refuse to play in such conditions. And I request no penalties for that.

Err...the thing is that you do know there’s a war though.  It’d be kinda unrealistic not to penalize you for just failing to react at all, no?  I mean, not to stick my head where it doesn’t belong or anything, but why not just make your decision public this turn and request a day long extension from Spamage.  That seems like the logical course of action if it really is just a question of time (not sure why that’d keep you from picking sides, but that’s just me).

Because I can't in one day decide whether I should join the war or not and that the last time I asked for an extension it was a so big outrage for some outrage.

I dont want to get penalized because players always start their war lately, it's their fault, not mine.

I doubt anyone would throw a fit if you asked for a one day extension and I’m sure Spamage would grant it.  Maybe I just make decisions quickly, but one extra day seems like plenty of time to make such a decision.

Is there anyone I can rejoin as?  I'd prefer the Papal States, but if it isn't available then I call dibs on Bavaria.  The Papal States would be ideal though since I could lay a bit low if I had an especially busy week and then pick back up when I had more free time.  I'd really like to be Pope again and lets be honest, could you possibly ask for a more entertaining Holy See than the one I gave you last time around? I'm having a minor health issue, so I will be almost out of this forum for the coming days. So don't be surprised if I'm less, well, talkative Tongue, this turn!

Have fun!

Gentlemen,

I suffered some sort of a panic attack today. I am in no mental state to handle anything other than my thesis, so I'm taking a break from the forum. Please consider Prussia open to another player.

It has been a pleasure, my apologies.

I hope you feel better soon Sad

Yeah, could I have until Monday?  One of my best friends is getting married today.

It will be remembered as one of the best games here, and one that will raise an enormously high bar for everybody who hosts later. Spamage, you deserve to be beyond proud of what you've accomplished here.
