OP, if you think he's an FF, you're not really a demsoc - you just base your opinions of politicians on feelings.
If the Dems continue to nominate candidates like Clinton, Biden and so... i'll trust people like Hawley more to change things for the positive. He sounds like a populist anti-immigration christian democrat at least, as opposed to the neoliberal establishment candidates. In that occasion, i'd vote christian democrat, because traditions & values are worth something to me.

He literally votes the same on economic issues and the environment as every single republican, just says he's anti-business for the rhetoric.
The bar is low, but occassionally he doesn't.

I can't see either Biden, Bloomberg of Hillary doing that.
