There is only right answer here

The people: favourable

The governments: awful.

But it's not as easy as simply: "both sides bad", and the Israeli people could do more to stop this conflict.

the Israeli people could do more to stop this conflict.
So could the Palestinian people

Well, i think we all can agree that at least the Israel government in theory has more of a democratic tradition than Palestine, which even never was accepted as a state in existence in the first place.

Secondly, i think most Palestinian people are busier seeking refuge and protecting their lives from what is essentially a much bigger killer: Israeli bomb, instead of hiding from the Hamas government.

So i disagree with that.

Israeli people are in a much better position to respond and end this conflict, and no Israeli people at the moment has their life being endangered by bombs etc. . And yes, we see some action (some protests) but not enough to actually change it.

Your view here is not really grounded in reality, because it's much more safer in Israel at the moment than in Gaza. Just compare pictures of Gaza City and Rafah with Tel Aviv today.
