Why not charge it anyway? This seems to taint the case as a politically motivated action. Manafort is easily and technically guilty because he made a bunch of income and never payed taxes on it. He should be tried in NY state for the benefit of all other NY taxpayers.

These Manafort sentences will backfire for Trump and conservatives cheering them on. People hate the reality of two different justice systems. When you look at the litany of crimes Manafort committed, the disrespect of the court system with the witness tampering, and the fact he pretended to cooperate and did not, getting around 7 years doesn't sit right with people and they will remember.

Mueller still not done with Rick Gates. I wonder what the ongoing investigations are?

 Maybe the inauguration?

We knew that before he was elected, so we're not the ones who are bad at politics, maybe everybody else is.

The judges Pence would appoint could not be any worse than Trump's bottom of the barrel picks.

Of course not. Republican sham investigations always end up in nothing after years and years, and tireless efforts to overturn every rock and widen the focus.

Yet with Trump's real corruption investigations, witnesses are ordered not to comply, Republicans cover up for him, investigations are limited in scope, and the focus should be on the investigators!
