Lawyers learn quickly to just get stronger from all the disapprobation, so yes, of course he doesn't give a darn what others think of him, as long as he thinks well of himself, and the fees just come rolling in. I can relate to that.

 Hey, maybe you really are "brilliant," despite the fact that you chose to decamp to a dump like Vegas. Who knew?
