@Kingpoleon I'll probably still support Flake. Just wondering about DeWit since there was so much noise about him

I don't like Sinema; she voted to repeal the estate tax, and that crosses a line for me. Still, if I lived in Arizona I'd hold my nose and vote for her. She is somewhat opportunistic, which would play well with whoever is in power - if the Berniecrats manage to win big in 2020/2024, I could see her pivoting left, more likely so than someone like Heitkamp. Still, I'm hoping that Ruben Gallego runs.
That first part sounds good, but I'd still vote against her

While I still think Napolitano or Giffords would be a stronger candidate, I'd give Sinema a 50/50 shot.

More like 60/40 since Ward will probably be the nominee.

If Ward is the nominee, it's 70-30 at least imo.

Is Ward really that disliked? I don't know much about her

Pretty much. She's kinda like Christine O'Donnell (Delaware, 2008 & 2010) and Sharron Angle (Nevada, 2010), all Tea Partiers.

I've always heard terrible things about you, I hoped they were false and you weren't completely embarrassing the party (as much as it isn't already embarrassed by that Orange Moron we call President), I am sad to see that I am completely wrong.

Your PM score is even worse than RINO Tom's.

As a moderate, Not_Madigan represents the true values of the GOP more than you do as a conservative Dixiecrat.

Thank you fellow RINO Wink

DeWit seems happier in Phoenix. Schweikert wants to run for governor in 2022.

Ok thank you!

Cheesy

(I know this would probably give the seat away, but any chance of an independent senator is good for me.)

So Flake denies on Twitter that he will run.

But we'll see...

Flake running as an independent might actually help Republicans, just as hypothetical polls showed Lugar/Castle independent runs helping Mourdock/O'Donnell, and how an independent Crist run helped Rubio. His approval with Republicans was already toxic, and would only fall even lower once he announced an independent candidacy.

Can't tell you about the others, but with Crist, that was about the time when he was becoming a Democrat anyway, so the vote split with Meek made sense.

Well that didn't go well for McSally, Ducey has now disqualified her from appointment basically. Now she will HAVE to face Sinema in 2018 if she wants to fulfill her senate dreams. Or she will have to wait for a special election. She really should not have told her house colleagues those plans.

That was a good call on Ducey's part

Let’s be clear here...this also helps Ducey’s re-election plans.

But still, nice job Doug.

Can't we give politicians the benefit of the doubt sometimes Tongue
