Alright lets try this again. This will be counted as the first primary. We're going to use the 2 out of 3 system. The only votes tallied will be the ones that are posted by voters with an icon showing they are a Republican. Anyone with Democrat, Independent or no icon will not be counted. If you wish to remain annonymous then you may e-mail your vote to me at brandnew1312@yahoo.com . In the e-mail state your board username. Please only vote for the two following candidates. If you are interested in running in the next primary please state it in the Republican thread.

The Candidates are:
Supersoulty
Demrepdan
and I have granted the right to Write-In votes

Vote Away! Polls will close on Wednesday afternoon EST.

I would just like to make it clear that any Republicans can vote in this just as long as they show they are one.

I will, of course, vote for myself.

You do want everyone to just state who they are voting for, correct?

Yes.

All the people that have decided to add candidates to the ballot, you have had the time to declare candidicy and you did not meet the deline to be included on this ballot. You will be added to the next primary if you wish.

This is the first. The other one was scratched because of the cross-voting situation because Democrats were voting for who they thought would be easier to beat.

If I WERE nominated, I face the problem of finding a good VP candidate. I would pick YoungRepub, but he's already the Republican Chairman, thus he would have to give up ALL of his power to run with me. And if we both lose, then he has nothing. I doubt he would be willing be on my ticket for that reason.

Accordingly, any of you Republicans out there who support me (which is minimal) and think you can help me balance the ticket a bit, let me know.

I agree, I think you should find a Republican to balance out the ticket IF you were elected. We've still got a little till we know the nominee.

And I am glad you would think of me but I feel I would be too inexperienced for VP, I lack a basis on some issues.

Mr. Chairman,

Once again I don't care because this whole thing is stupid... BUT Smiley

Most states' primaries have a write-in option and those write-in votes are counted.  I would ask that my vote as well as that of DarthKosh be counted and added to the totals, although I can understand how GWBFan's vote could be excluded due to re-joining the party after the voting period began.

I really dont think that you should be here if you think its stupid but  I will allow write-in's.

Wait, GWBFan has 2 write in votes. He is quite close to the Official Candidates, it does affect you two.

Not anymore.  I'm not running.  Even if I won in write-ins, I wouldn't except the nomination.  One of the write-in votes was me, so I'll decide at a later date which candidate I'll throw my support behind.

I bet everyone's getting confused about just what the heck I'm doing.  Me too.

Alright, I will respect and stand by your decision.

I was planning on having this end but it seems that there is a tie. Supersoulty and Demrepdan are tied at 3 votes each .Im quite confused on what to do, any suggestions?

Anyone kno how they would handle this in a real primary? I doubt it has ever happened though.

Hm.

Well, I already wrote in a vote for me.  I don't suppose since I "dropped out" that I can change my vote from me to one of the other candidates?

I have decided that those that wrote in votes can now vote once again but only for Supersoulty or Demrepdan because of these circumstances. So I believe the only ones to write in were DarthKosh, htmldon and GWBFan. They may now cast another vote.

Since you're having several primaries, you could just call it a draw and hope that it will be decided in the later primaries. That would really be more fair. Also, DarthKosh, if I'm not mistaken, voted for himself, and has not dropped out. Why should he be allow to change his vote? No, let it be decided in the later primaries! Smiley

I think you are right, I am just going to declare this one a draw and hope it will straighten in the later primaries and if it doesn't then we will go to measures like I previously stated I was going to do. It will be more fun this way. Am I stepping on any toes here? If I am please make a suggestion.
