Will the outcome be determined by Trumps performance.. or will the country be divided no matter Trumps performance?

ie Is there a chance that.. Trump will be so popular that noone can beat him....  or ..... trump will be so unpopular that anyone credible enough to get the Dem nomination would beat him.

None of the above. Events during Trump's term will be much more important than who either party nominates, though of course that does have an effect.

I guess part of the question is asking whether or not you thought events of the Trump nomination would go well, or not go well...
