How about each Governor submit one map within the next 24 hours and we will say "approve" or "disapprove" for each, and the one with the most approves will be the final map. A tie-breaker can be held if necessary.

I propose this one.

District 1 - Orange (13 voters)
District 2 - Yellow (12 voters)
District 3 - Red (11 voters)
District 4 - Blue (11 voters)
District 5 - Green (11 voters)

^ You make a valid point. By switching WV and MD, they are ideally equal now.

District 1 - Orange (12 voters)
District 2 - Yellow (12 voters)
District 3 - Red (12 voters)
District 4 - Blue (11 voters)
District 5 - Green (11 voters)

Okay, looks like we have the five proposals.

1) by FezzyFestoon

2) by ilikeverin

3) by Jesus
District 1 - Orange (12 voters)
District 2 - Yellow (12 voters)
District 3 - Red (12 voters)
District 4 - Blue (11 voters)
District 5 - Green (11 voters

4) by Mike Naso
D1 (PINK): 11 voters
D2 (GREEN): 10 voters
D3 (YELLOW): 10 voters
D4 (BLUE): 13 voters
D5 (RED): 12 voters

5) by polnut

Okay, so vote approve or disapprove for all five. Maybe try and give at least three approves. Tongue

Let's see here.  I either have the opportunity to be emo and violate my own prescripts on redistricting or send a big fat "I hate you all" to the forum.

Hmm.

Well, presuming all the Governors stay evil and do not change their votes, my vote is as follows:

1) Approve
2) Approve
3) Disapprove
4) Disapprove
5) Disapprove

However, if by some miracle the governors come to their senses and see that maps 1, 4, and 5 do not hold to the actual purpose of redistricting:

1) Disapprove
2) Approve
3) Approve
4) Disapprove
5) Disapprove

A tie-breaker could be held for the top two maps if you would rather vote for what you actually believe to be the best maps.

Well I don't think this should go on any longer. Map 1 (by FezzyFestoon) has been chosen.
