Also, Multnomah County sucks too. If you're going for Portland metro Washington is where it's at.

Also, replace Jefferson County, WV with Monongalia County. Actually, uh, ignore that one in eastern NC too. I completely screwed up on that map.

I was thinking Southern Clackamas near the Willamette Valley. Exurban, a little more affordable, and beautiful.
Oh, yeah, Canby and Wilsonville are pretty nice. I just really hate the southern Portland suburbs.

El Paso Texas? The Indiana county that has Gary in it? Interesting. Willing to elaborate?
Eh, I kinda like the desert aesthetic of west Texas but I wouldn't want to live out in the middle of nowhere. For Indiana it's more with just being closer to Chicago and less, well, Indiana, and plus Gary doesn't take up the whole county.

If you wanted to within a few minutes of the Pacific which OR county would you pick?
Tough one, I’d probably say Lincoln County.
