Abrams has launched a new nonprofit group aimed at ensuring hard-to-count populations are counted in the 2020 census:

https://www.ajc.com/blog/politics/abrams-starts-nonprofit-seeking-fair-count-2020-census/Fx2hgOatiKBaXC5j1YPVDO/

Quote
The organization, Fair Count, will focus on minorities, non-English speakers, renters and others who are more likely to be skipped in the once-a-decade headcount of the U.S. population. In Georgia, the group said, that could include as much as 20 percent of the state’s population spanning parts of 86 counties.
.
.
.
It’s the latest public policy initiative by Abrams, a potential 2020 candidate who founded the group. Since her narrow defeat in November to Gov. Brian Kemp, she has worked to raise the profile of Fair Fight, a voting rights group she started that has challenged Georgia’s electoral policies in court.

Fair Count will be led by Rebecca DeHart, the former executive director of the Democratic Party of Georgia. Jeanine Abrams McLean, an evolutionary biologist and Abrams’ sister, will be the group’s program director.

This woman is amazing.

But April Fool's Day itself is probably not a great launch day, so maybe one of them will announce on April 2nd?

Oh god we're going to get some fake announcements, aren't we?
Biden is done, they say, then my bet is...

That might just be the most arrogant, narcissistic tweet ever made.
What candidate in the midst of a general election wouldn’t refer to themselves as the future president..... The hate is strong.

I really want to know the thought process of people like Swalwell and Moulton. Like.... nobody gives a damn about you. Why are you wasting time and energy? Other than one issue/symbolism candidates like Gravel and Inslee I have no idea why any white man besides the three B’s are even entering.

Abrams still believes she won the Georgia gubernatorial election, I don't put it past her being delusional enough to think you can effectively launch a presidential campaign as late as October
No she does not.

But this is rich coming from someone who routinely defends the man who claims he lost the popular vote because 3 million dead people voted in California. Roll Eyes

Stacey Abrams has decided against running for the Senate from Georgia in 2020, according to a Democratic official.

Abrams met with Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer on Monday to inform him of her plans.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Abrams will focus on her voting rights project. She has not decided whether to seek any other office at this time.

If we don't pick-up that seat it's her fault and I'll never forgive her for it.
She isn’t running for President. She’s running for Governor and if there is anyone who can turn our folks out in a potential Dem midterm it’s her. We need Democratic Governors just as much if not more than Senators. Whoever we nominate in GA-SEN WILL get 47-48 percent of the vote just from being a Democrat. They need to find their way to 50. It’s not on Abrams if they lose.

I had to look up that "we could all be speaking Russian" quotation to believe it. Unreal!

I am of the opinion that the field is set. Why would anyone want to join the race after the first debates?

Yeah, pretty much this. It just seems highly unlikely that a credible candidate like Abrams would opt to get in this late; a fringe candidate or two who don't matter like Joe Sanberg or Richard Vague might still get in at this point but they're all-but-irrelevant.
Abrams is doing a GA-GOV rematch in 2022. Why she’s dragging out this presidential thing I don’t know. Maybe to stay relevant and get money for her orgs. *shrugs*

I love her but this is annoying. She knows she is not running for President. Stop.
