Nelson will win by at least five points. He would be in danger in a Hillary midterm, but not with Trump.

Unless Florida gets another hurricane in October. Gov. Scott really handled Irma spectacularly and that boosted his standing in the state
ask that nursing home...

oh wait, you can't because he deleted the voicemails

Lean D (closer to Tossup than Likely), but I wouldn’t be surprised if Nelson underperformed on election day even in a D wave. Gonna guess Nelson +3 for now.
funny joke. Nelson smacks his opponents, its just what he does

Only Republican hacks and concern trolls think Scott who looks like a penis has a shot.

Nelson will win by 5+ minimum. This race is over.

For people who constantly complain about “whataboutism,” you certainly use it a lot.
Right?

And he didn’t make fun of the reporters looks, he made fun of his washy washy attitude. The video made it clear and the voters responded.

I'm always amazed at what lengths people will go to defend Trump. It's ok to admit he made a mistake. Whatever helps you sleep at night guy lol.

Trump also has insulted Rosie O'Donnell, Alicia Machado, Carly Fiorina, that one accuser of his, and probably many more people I am forgetting about; all based on their looks.
And I don’t care, because he’s also getting illegal immigrants out, heroin off the street, and saved us from TPP. I couldn’t possibly care less about those examples you gave and so did the rest of the country.
he isnt getting heroin off the street very much compared to obama, he is planning to jump back into the tpp, and obama was already keeping them out. I think you mean congrats obama!

Rick Scott is the best R candidate this year, but a significant part of that is luck. From my understanding, he used the hurricanes not only as a way to be seen as competent at governing, but also to change his political niche from North Florida and base populist to leaning hard into the hispanic vote and championing moderate hero-ism. This new strategy is smart against Nelson, who doesn't focus on the hispanic vote that much, in favor of North Florida. This race will probably feature a strange map, since the current strengths of each candidate exist in each others' weak spots. I expect Nelson to hold his ground or improve in north florida vs 2012, while collapsing in Miami-Dade and to a lesser extent the Orlando area. I think that the race will be decided in exurban/suburban retiree zones in Central Florida; the extent of Nelson's erosion there will probably be a bellwether for the race as a whole.

To us hyper-informed people Rick Scott being able to get away with reinventing himself makes no sense, but most people don't follow politics that closely.
that sounds a lot like fl-gov 2014 fundamentals. I guess the deciding factor will be how much better he does then Crist in villages and republican north florida

Just got polled. It was a Nelson internal judging by the questions.
was it a push poll? IDK how you could tell. If so, what did they use to push you?

Go ahead Red Tide Rick, keep attacking Bill Nelson on his age. That will surely play out well in Florida: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwBxmqlAHjk
