I, HenryWallaceMP, am running for reelection to the Fremont House of Commons. I am running with the regional Liberal Democratic Party. Some of you may know me as HenryWallaceVP; however, I have changed my name to HenryWallaceMP as this user, unlike the real Henry Wallace, is a Member of Parliament, not a Vice President. After Evergreen was permanently banned, I was appointed as an MP by Prime Minister Truman. I now hope to be elected as one by the great citizens of the wonderful region of Fremont. I will now outline my platform.

Social Issues
I am a strong supporter of LGBT rights, and I applaud the Bessell-Truman Transgender Rights Act as a triumphant success. If reelected, then I will continue to expand and build upon this masterfully crafted piece of legislation. I also believe that voter ID laws are a violation of civil rights, and if any of them exist in Fremont they must be repealed. I am also a pro-choice candidate who supports abortion rights. Additionally, I am a determined supporter of gun control and increased background checks.

Climate Change
I believe that climate change is currently the biggest threat facing Fremont and Atlasia as a whole. The Fremontian tax incentives for renewable energy producers is an amazing program that will help reduce dependence on fossil fuels. I believe that to reduce carbon emissions even further, a carbon tax should be implemented.

The Economy
The living wage that exists in Fremont today is an outstanding example of the bipartisanship that exists in Fremontian politics, and if elected I will reach across the aisle to my Federalist colleagues to pass more laws that reduce poverty in Fremont. It is also remarkable that Fremont has been able to maintain stellar job growth and low unemployment while also running a budget surplus. This speaks to the abilities of Prime Minister Truman and the rest of the Fremont House of Commons. I firmly believe that the money from this surplus should be used to expand infrastructure and access to health care. This is why I am a big supporter of the proposed coast to coast rail network. In addition, I am a major proponent of unions and a major opponent of right-to-work laws.

Foreign Policy
I am an internationalist, and I believe that Fremont, and all of Atlasia, cannot afford to be isolationist and go it alone. If elected, I would help forge partnerships and alliances with other friendly countries. I would only contemplate going to war if 2 of these 3 conditions were met: the invasion of an allied country, an act of genocide by a country against its people, or a country posing a feasible threat to Atlasia.

I hope that I have earned your votes.

Good citizens of Fremont, it is necessary and imperative that your fulfill your civic duty of voting in this election of June 2017. As a member of the Liberal Democracy Party, I believe that I have proven myself to be both a very active legislator who produces thoughtful legislation and a candidate who deserves your vote.

I have been in office for only 10 days, and in those 10 days I am already in the process of passing a piece of landmark legislation, the Fremont Carbon Taxation Act of 2017. This act will effectively combat climate change by significantly reducing carbon dioxide emissions. This act will also raise more revenue than all other taxes in Fremont besides the income tax. Unneeded tax dollars generated by this act will be returned to the good taxpaying citizens of Fremont. Also, I have many more great ideas that I will implement if I am reelected.

I have been endorsed by two of the most accomplished Fremontian politicians, Harry S Truman and Roy Barnes, and I hope that you too will endorse me by voting for me for first preference in this election.

With less than 5 hours left in this election, if you haven't voted already, it is time to vote! For anyone who wants a committed, knowledgeable, progressive, and hardworking legislator, vote for HenryWallaceMP for first preference for the Fremont House of Commons!

Fremontians, I have just declared my candidacy for the Atlasian Senate. If you elect me to the Senate, I promise you that I will serve your interests as a Senator. Currently, I am the Speaker of the Fremont House of Commons. I hope that soon I will have the honor and privilege of serving as your Senator. I will now outline several reasons why I believe I should earn your vote:

Platform
1) Bills
In the Commons this term, two bills authored by myself have been incorporated into the Fremont Statue. Those bills are the Fremont Carbon Taxation Act of 2017 and the Fremont Bank Downsizing Act of 2017. The former of these acts established a tax on carbon in Fremont. The act will drastically reduce carbon emissions in Fremont and will raise more revenue than all Fremontian taxes excluding the income tax. Much of this revenue will be returned to the taxpaying citizens of Fremont. The latter of these acts will break up the big banks and eliminate "too big to fail" financial institutions. This will prevent a taxpayer funded bailout of such institutions from ever being necessary. Currently, the Fremont Gun Safety Act is being debated in the Commons. This bill is the first of its kind in Fremont, as there are currently no gun control laws in the Fremont Statue.

2) Game Activity
Game activity is a critical issue currently facing Atlasia. As your Senator, I will be an active and passionate legislator. I am the only MP, excluding the Prime Minister, who has written any bills during this session of the Commons. I am the only MP, excluding the Prime Minister, who has participated in all debates and votes on each bill that has been presented before the Commons. In the Senate, I promise that I will take a similarly active approach. I believe that all Atlasians, whether on the Left, the Right, or the Center; whether Labor, Federalist, or Independent, understand the critical importance of game activity. Additionally, I have never missed an election, whether it be local, federal, or relating to a Constitutional Amendment.

3) Experience
As the current Speaker of the Fremont House of Commons, I believe that I am uniquely qualified to serve as your Senator. Before my term as the Speaker, I was an MP in the Commons. As a Senator, I will demonstrate knowledge and experience relating to the trappings and inner workings of government.

4) What I hope to Accomplish in the Senate
In the Senate, I would like to implement many of the programs at the federal level that I have implemented at the local, Fremontian level. Such programs would include a national carbon tax, an Atlasian bank downsizing bill, and a gun safety act. Another area that I would like to take an active role in is shaping Atlasian foreign policy. Although I have very much enjoyed serving in the Commons, there is not much one can do in regard to foreign policy at the local level. In the Senate, I will serve as an internationalist voice in a federal government dominated by isolationists. I support a diplomatically engaged Atlasia, and my policy on military intervention is simple. I would only contemplate supporting military intervention if 2 of these 3 conditions were met: the invasion of an allied country, an act of genocide by a country against its people, or a country posing a feasible threat to Atlasia.

I hope that I have convinced you that I am the best candidate for the Atlasian Senate. I believe that I would be a effective legislator for the reasons outlined above, and I sincerely hope that I have earned your votes.

I would like to thank all of the Atlasians who endorsed me and voted for me in this election. Every single one of you made my campaign possible and ultimately successful. I have committed myself to a career of public service, and so I will never fail to be an active legislator who will always hold the interests of the people of Fremont at heart. I will miss working in the Commons, but the Senate gives me an opportunity to influence foreign policy that was not possible in the Commons.

I have just sworn in as a Senator. In the Senate, I am planning on introducing several bills, some of which are federal versions of Fremontian legislation I proposed and others of which are bills relating to foreign policy. I will be a liberal, internationalist policymaker, and I hope that my time in the Senate will be as enjoyable, fruitful, and productive as my time in the Commons was. I also promise to vote on every single piece of legislation that is presented before the Senate body.

Atlasians all across the country are sickened by the murderous mass shooting that took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 1. Action must be taken. This bill expands on the Gun Control Act of 2017 by tightening restrictions on guns. This includes an assault weapons ban and a high-capacity magazines ban, both of which previously existed from 1994 to 2004, and a ban on the purchase of firearms by individuals on the no fly list. I am planning on introducing this piece of legislation onto the Senate floor soon.

I have decided that I will not run for reelection in December. It has been a pleasure to work in the Senate, and an honor to spend so much of my time devoted to public service. I will miss all of my Senate colleagues and the work that I got done with them in the Senate.

Fremontians, I come to you today to announce that I will be running for the open Senate seat in the upcoming Fremont Senate election. I previously served as a Senator, and there are several pieces of unfinished business that I would like to finish if I return to Nyman. My main platform is based upon implementing the 5 points of the Labor Manifesto, which is the new platform of the Labor Party. Here is a quick overview of key points from the platform that I would like to implement if I am elected:

1. I support common sense gun control. I stand for a large increase in gun control regulations, including increased background checks, banning those on the no-fly list from purchasing guns once the no-fly list has been modified to better account for due process, and reinstating the assault weapons ban that previously existed from 1994 until 2004. I believe that more gun control is the most effective way to decrease gun violence and mass shootings.

2. The Labor Party supports breaking up the big banks of Atlasia. If a bank is too big to fail, then it is to big to exist. Banks that hold more than $100 billion in assets should be forced to downsize into smaller institutions, in order to eliminate the moral hazard that caused the Great Recession. Such a program was already successfully accomplished in Fremont due to a bill written by myself.

3. I support a large, fiscally responsible economic stimulus program involving increased government spending. The stimulus would occur through increased spending on infrastructure and social services. I pledge to you that, if elected Senator, I will not be satisfied with the economy until the unemployment rate is below 5% and economic indicators point to Atlasia being at full employment.

4. I believe that taxes on the rich should be increased and military spending should be cut. I believe that doing so would offset the deficit increases of point #3 while not offsetting the stimulatory effects. If elected Senator, I will work to reduce the bloated military budget, reduce income inequality, and make the rich pay their fair share in taxes. I also support tax cuts for the poor and middle classes, which will be evened out by the tax increases on the wealthy and military spending cuts previously mentioned.

5. I support a levelheaded, sound foreign policy that emphasizes international diplomacy and Atlasia's global commitments to the world. The preemptive strike by the Goldwater administration was a disastrous decision that led to a disastrous war. I believe that war should only be entered in to if two of these three conditions are met: there is a direct threat to Atlasia, an invasion of a sovereign nation occurs, or war is necessary in order to prevent a potential future genocide (if the genocide is currently occurring, then this is the only justification needed.) I will bring to the Senate an internationalist viewpoint for Atlasia that rejects isolationism.

I am running for the Fremont House of Commons in the upcoming election. Fremont needs an experienced, active legislator, and I have proved to be that both in the Fremont Parliament and in the Atlasian Senate. Like many other Fremontians, I was very disappointed with the extreme level of inactivity that was evident in the most recent Parliament. If elected,  I promise to vote and comment on every single bill that is placed before Parliament.

I will also bring a progressive, left-wing voice to Parliament. Fremont is currently represented by two Alliance members in the Atlasian Senate, but this is not a true indication of our region's politics as a whole. Fremont is a traditional left-wing bastion, and I hope to bring back progressive government to Fremont.

My policy positions are the same as when I ran for the Atlasian Senate most recently, and they are still based upon the (now-defunct) Labor Manifesto. I support an assault weapons ban for Fremont, as well as other common sense gun control measures. While in the Fremont House of Commons I broke up the big banks, and I promise that if elected to Parliament I will continue to support economically progressive measures.

In order to address the disproportionately high rate of gun violence and number of mass shootings in Atlasia, I have introduced a bill into the Fremont House of Commons that will ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines in Fremont. Fremontians don't need machine guns and semi-automatic/automatic weapons for "self-defense" or hunting. More low-caliber weapons, such as hunting rifles, can be used instead. This bill will substantially improve gun safety in Fremont. While I believe that the "Let's Try This Act" is a huge step forward at the federal level, I believe that Fremont, as a traditional bastion of progressivism, can go even further by reinstating at the regional level the Assault Weapons Ban that was previously in force at the federal level from 1994 to 2004.

Thank you Fremont!

I would like to thank the people of Fremont for having the confidence in me to elect me to the Senate as a write-in candidate. I would also like to make clear that no one "convinced" me to enter this Senate race. I declared as a write-in candidate on my own accord and without the advice of any other Atlasian. In the Senate I will work to restore Atlasians' trust in their representatives, help working Atlasians, and help develop a clear and levelheaded foreign policy.

Many Atlasians are concerned over the use of Discord by their representatives. Since its adoption as a widely used discussion platform, it has been notable for the amount of scandals and corruption surrounding it. I am proud to say that I have never used Discord, for Atlasian or other purposes. I believe that if other politicians were to refrain from using Discord, then Atlasians would have more confidence and trust in their representatives.

I believe that working Atlasians who are left behind by free trade deals should not be forgotten. That is why when in the Senate, I will work to implement a Trade Adjustment Assistance Program. This will ensure that those Atlasians who do not seek to benefit from free trade will receive help in finding reemployment from the federal government.

In the Senate, I will work to help develop a clear and levelheaded foreign policy. Atlasia must not stand by while famines, genocides, and humanitarian crises occur in such regions of the world as Darfur, South Sudan, and Yemen. I will work to make sure that these regions receive aid and foreign assistance from the Atlasian government.

I would like to congratulate my election opponent Sestak on his victory. He ran a well-run campaign, and I find it fitting that both of us were elected to the Senate through write-ins. Unfortunately, I didn't get around to implementing a Trade Adjustment Assistance Program, which I would have done if reelected.

I am running for the Atlasian House because I believe that Nyman needs change. Specifically, the issues of active government and government transparency are important to me. At both the federal and regional levels, falling activity has been a major problem. As a former Senator and member of the Fremont House of Commons, I can say that I did my part in voting on every bill that was placed before me. I pledge to do the same if elected to the House.

Government transparency has declined dramatically as the use of Discord has increased. I can say with confidence that I've never used Discord while holding public office, and I pledge to you that if I elected to the House I will continue to not do so. Some may say that that makes me naive or out of the loop, but I say that it makes me one of the few Atlasian politicians today not susceptible to the corrupt backroom deals that occur there.

If elected to the House, there are many policy positions that I would like to advance. Here are just a few of my many priorities:

-Repeal all right-to-work laws

-Negotiate fair trade deals with other nations

-Create a Trade Adjustment Assistance Program (TAA)

-Create a free, universal, and single-payer system for Healthcare

-Make college tuition-free

-Increase climate regulation to combat Global Warming

-Increase financial regulation on the big banks

-Pass a federal assault weapons ban

I hope that I have earned your vote.

I have decided that I will run for reelection to the Atlasian House. So far, I have kept my promise of being an active Senator, having not missed a single vote. But put simply, we have more work to do. Of the platform I ran on, only one of my goals has yet been achieved:

-Repeal all right-to-work laws

-Create a system of wage insurance

-Create a free, universal, and single-payer system for Healthcare

-Make college tuition-free

-Increase climate regulation to combat Global Warming

-Increase financial regulation on the big banks

-Pass a federal assault weapons ban

After doing some more research on the Trade Adjustment Assistance Program, I came to the decision that a system of wage insurance would be a more effective way to help provide for displaced workers and their families. Thus, I have introduced the Wage Insurance Act into Congress.

Wage insurance is only the first step though, as I've still got so much more to get done. That's why I'm asking for your vote for reelection, because we've got to finish what we started and not leave our progressive agenda less than halfway complete.

With the election set to start in a few hours, I would like to make one last campaign push. Most Atlasians recognize that government transparency is a problem. Many politicians today do much of their decision-making not in the chambers of government, but in smoke-filled backrooms. By contrast, I am directly accountable to the people through my refusal to use Discord. With me, what you see is what you get. If you want an active and progressive Representative who makes his decisions in full view of the public, then please consider voting for me.
