Category: EditorialSpecial Statement On The President's Recent CommentsWhat we are seeing is a very clearly exposed president desperately trying to clear his name by calling all negative stories about him "fake news". This is not only an attack on us, it is an attack on journalists everywhere. We encourage all Atlasians to stand with The Nyman Questioner using the #StandWithTNQ and remembering what the Bill of Rights, Section 2 says:
Errr, that's what Peebs thinks it is at least, but close enough.
Since we published this article, other sources have come forward also confirming the accuracy of our story. We are disgusted and offended by D. F. W.'s sad attempts at brushing off this serious incident.
We are not surprised that D. F. W. called us fake news, not because this article is fake, but because this is not the first time D. F. W. has called a very real event "fake news". Just look at all these examples:
All those times, the incident in question was not, in fact, fake. This recent example of D. F. W. lashing out at the press is no exception. Of course, once the highly respected SoFE Peebs pointed out that he was making an error in calling our article fake news, he decided to start a disgusting rumor about our own editor-in-chief Mike Wells.
We decided to brush the dust off our fact check department in order to see exactly what he got wrong. He first claimed that Mr. Wells has a "love of Wall Street" which is obnoxiously false, and that he also hates visiting the states of Wisconsin and Michigan, which is also simply untrue.
D. F. W. used two pieces of false information to then create an even falser assertion. Mike Wells is not Hillary Clinton, for the record, as can be attested by those who really know him. We thought of getting LLR, who follows Mr. Wells on Instagram, to testify, but we wanted to get this editorial out fast.
It seems as though D. F. W. has a nasty habit of calling things fake news while spreading untrue fantasies himself. This could make him a hypocrite, but we would rather not slander an esteemed public official in such a way.
Our next point in this editorial is that D. F. W. has incriminated himself beyond belief with his statements regarding these issues. After engaging in petty lies to get even, he then encouraged violent uprisings in a region already plagued by a large domestic terrorist group. We would like our readers to ask themselves: is this presidential? Is this the type of behavior we need from our elected officials?
This is so beyond the pale and much worse than anything we have ever done. We would like to take this time to remind our readers that no matter how you feel about D. F. W. a violent riot is never the answer and that at the end of the day he is still our president and was elected by the people and we must respect that.
We can however, be outraged by his actions, such as the action taken by him shortly after encouraging violence against regional executives, which was encouraging all the citizens of Atlasia to harm themselves to the point where they cannot see right. While this may be the only way for D. F. W. to still get people to like him, we are justly worried that this is the man who is in charge of our nuclear codes. Are these words and actions the words and actions of a man in his right mind, or anyone we can trust to uphold all of our institutions?
We would like to close this editorial with the statement that we have more dirt on D. F. W. but will not be releasing it, instead releasing this quote from a Nyman Insider: "President dfwlibertylover has," She said. "a hideous hermaphroditic character with neither the force and firmness of a man nor the gentleness and sensibility of a woman".
