How strange. I suppose a lot has to do with name recognition: Michels challeneged Feingold in 2004, didn't he? But apart from that he's not an exceptionally strong candidate. Kohl won 62%-37% last time and considering the dynamics of this year he should win a by a 2-1 margin.
