The Senate reopened debate half an hour ago on Kirstjen Nielsen, Trump's DHS nominee. The cloture vote is expected to be held at 5:30 Eastern.

Lol didn't realize this thread existed.

You know, maybe it should be pinned. Especially if you combine it with judicial nominations and some other things and make it the "Senate activity megathread" or something.

Anyway, debate on this technically resumed at noon (though Schumer still spent time railing against the tax bill). Cloture vote expected at 2:30 (5:30 Eastern).

Yeah, I thought I might have missed her. I had the audio off until the middle of the yes list.

For votes that are within 20 of being party-line (as in, 20 or fewer Senators defect from their party), could you instead list the defectors instead of the NOs?

Is today just going to be the cloture vote or both cloture and confo?

Actual confo for Grasz stuck at 47-47. Not sure who hasn't voted. Probably more Reps than Dems though.
