Jay Nixon (D): 54%
Kenny Hulshof (R): 34%

Jay Nixon (D): 56%
Sarah Steelman (R): 34%

Steelman's favorables are marginally higher than Hulshof's. Forty-eight percent (48%) have at least a somewhat favorable opinion of her, with 36% at least somewhat unfavorable. For Hulshof, his favorables are 42% versus 38% unfavorable.

Nixon fares substantially better, with 64% of voters ranking him at least somewhat favorably as opposed to 27% unfavorable.

Will Nixon eventually crack 60% or at least get a slightly higher percentage than Mel Carnahan in '92 or '96 ? And will this lead to Obama moving closer to 50.01% in MO ?
