I don't think I would have voted for the Bush Tax Cuts. Reagan was different, the top rate was 50%+ then, which is too high for me.

Just how many motions to return to committee are going to be brought up?

Too damn many

The motion by Sen. Stabenow to send the bill back to committee has failed by a vote of 45-55. Manchin/Heitkamp/Donnelly defect.

Wtf? Why did those three hayseeds defect?

Because they're tired of voting for the same thing over and over again.

Yeah, I think they were telling the rest of the Democratic caucus to cut it out. Which seems fair; not sure what is being accomplished by all of the return-to-committee votes.

I was joking earlier about them still writing the bill with typos and mistakes in it and look:

This is why people in AZ don't like Flake, hundreds of his constituents always leave messages for him on issues but he tends to ignore them and make votes without input of his voters

Yeah, I'm glad that Flake is retiring. Whether the replacement is Salmon, McSally, or Sinema, they can't be any worse than Flake. (I don't believe Ward would ever win a general election)

"we have to pass it to find out what's in it"

You've got to pass it to handwrite it, duh!

LOL
