So define "several" for me, Jeff, since it's not clear exactly what you think it means.

Again, I back tracked on the word "several".  You said "you have lied more than several times".  I said I did not deny.  Yet, you accused me of sticking with the word "several".

Where did you backtrack on the word "several"?

Oh, when you said that, I thought you meant you would not deny the last sentence of your last post, which was, "I have lied before, several times, but not every single time like you are lying about."  So I thought you were sticking by the "several" comment, not backtracking.  My mistake.

To be honest, the answer is no, because God would never tell me to intentionally kill someone and violate his commands.

The two are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

To be honest, the answer is no, because God would never tell me to intentionally kill someone and violate his commands.  The only reason He told Abraham to kill Isaac is for testing.  God had no intention of killing Isaac.  That is the only time in the entire Bible that He tested in that manner.
Seems to me there was an awful lot of smiting in the name of God in the Bible. As well as specific instructions as to the who when and how. I'm beginning to doubt you read the Bible as often as you say you do.

Could you provide some examples, please?  Thank you.

The Book of Joshua.

I don't see the need for the radio. We have loud tornado sirens, and I don't really care all that much if some random child is missing.

That assumes your siren coordination goes as planned.  Sirens can fail.  Weather radio broadcasts come directly from the NWS when they issue the warning.  They're quicker than sirens because there's no middle man.

Indeed. Word is tbe sirens are not working in Ninnekah, OK just southwest of OKC.  Bad news as there are severe thunderstorms headed their way.

There's no good reason not to have a weather radio.  I guess if you pay attention and live where severe weather is rare (although, note that every state, province, and territory in the U.S. and Canada, except Nunavut, there has been at least one tornado), you can get by, keeping in mind that you should prepare for strong winter storms.

But they're still helpful for disseminating boil water advisories, 911 outages, etc.

The storm threat is winding down in Oklahoma City.  We had mainly hail and rain in Oklahoma county.  The cold front came through and killed any tornado threat.  There were tornadoes in Southwest Oklahoma, mainly EF0-EF2.  The storms are pushing into Eastern and Southeastern Oklahoma.

I'm staying with my grandmother tonight to protect my car from the hail.

Does she have a garage and you don't?

Well, I'm home. It's a good thing I stayed over at Grandma's last night as my parents' property flooded last night and now there is all sorts of debris in the yard. The trailer was untouched, thankfully. I am resting up and will get a shower here before too long. I'll probably watch Baseball at Noon before heading back over to Grandma's for dinner again. Tonight, we'll have 11 people at the dinner table. We're going to have a really late dinner, about 18:15, and I'll probably escape shortly afterwards. I'm really starting to get worn out...

You're not going to help them clean up the debris?  Yes, I can see why you're tired based upon the last week of hard work. Roll Eyes

We're not going to clean it up today, but I will help when we do.  The storm just occurred overnight and Dad's at work right now, and Mom and I still have family obligations tonight and tomorrow.  Saturday, I have a birthday party and then Mom, Dad, and I are going out for Mexican food.  Sunday, I have church in the morning and the evening, and then one more night of a family dinner on Monday.  We won't have a chance to clean it up for a little while.  I'm not going to get out there by myself, because I don't know where Dad wants to put everything.  I'm guessing the burn pile, but besides, the ground is too wet and muddy, still.

That's truly a disgusting and stunning response.  Time for a long hiatus.

IF he's telling the truth, and he doesn't know where the family wants stuff, I'm actually going to defend him here.  Nothing bugs me more than when someone in my family moves something of mine thinking it's trash or that I don't need it.

No, I am worn out from 15 straight days of continuously having to visit with family for most of that time.

Tell me something, wouldn't having to spend 15 straight days with company, at least 4-9 hours a day wear you out?

You might find this difficult to believe, but some people work 8 hours or more every day.

You might find this hard to believe, but I've done that before, and it's not quite as tiring as spending hours and days on end with family.  It depends on your line of work, though.  My dad would much rather work 60 hours a week than to have to spend hours with family for a month straight.

Then you've clearly never worked a job that's remotely difficult.  Either that, or you have a family from Hell.

And what happened to the daily walking?  It's not like you can use the excuse that you were cleaning up after the storm...

I'll be honest and the daily walking has taken a back seat.  I really have no excuse, but it's just taken a back seat.

We did talk about cleaning up the yard this evening, but haven't made any plans to clean everything up.  Tomorrow, the ground will still be too wet and muddy, plus Dad has come down with a sore throat, so he needs to stay inside.  We're going out to eat Saturday early evening and then I have a birthday party that afternoon, and then it's supposed to rain again early next week.  So, right now there's no good time, but we're thinking about it.  As long as we get it done before he has to mow again, we'll be fine.  We might be able to sneak out there Sunday afternoon if he gets off work in time.  We probably won't be able to get it all done, but he normally gets off around 2:00 on Sundays, and Mom and I have to leave for our respective church services at 5:30, so we might have a small 2 hour window Sunday to do it.  We'll see, though.

He has a sore throat, so he can't do anything?  That seems a bit ridiculous.

Maybe Bushie's family chastised him for walking because exercise is evil? Or maybe he never did walk and only now admitted it because Inks now can track him on that app? It's sad, either way.

I'm beginning to think it's the latter.  He always claims he's doing good things until he has to prove them, and then the excuse slowly begin leaking out of the crack through the dam.  A week later after we've all chipped away at the leak, the dam breaks and he tells the truth.

His 60 year old dad shouldn't have to clean up the yard when he's sick when he has a capable son who has no job and spends his days watching baseball and playing on his android tablet.

But Duke, his dad probably "insists" on doing all of this.  And it would be an insult and disrespectful if he didn't let his dad work his butt off while he sits in his lawn chair with his straw hat on, sipping iced teas in his shorts and sunglasses.

It's kinda like when you go out to eat, and people fight over who's going to pay the bill - you go back and forth insisting that you'll pay.  Jeff seems like the type of person who when the other person offers to pay, just says, "OK!" and lets them do it without hesitation.

You're so committed to going to Kenya, yet you can't even walk a mile a day.  You're going to be in for a big shock when you're stuck over in Kenya.

Why are you waiting until Tuesday to start walking?

Be honest... did you ever actually start walking?  I think you lied.  I think you claimed you were walking, until I could prove that you weren't, and then you "stopped".  This is just like your diet.  You claimed you were losing weight, but then when we asked for proof, you started making excuses and eventually admit that you lied.

So, tell us, did you lie about walking?  Because it seems to fit the pattern of your usual lies.

I actually did walk a couple of the days.  I didn't walk for very long, but I did walk.  I will admit I did not walk as long as I said I did, but I did get outside and walk just a bit.  I took one lap around the 2 acres and called it a day.

So I was right... another lie.  Not only did you not walk a mile, but assuming two one-square-acre plots side by side, you didn't even walk a quarter of a mile.

How can you claim you're ready to do God's work in Kenya when you're still compulsively lying about such insignificant things here in America?

Do you really think your lying will stop in Kenya?  I doubt it.  And at that point, you're putting not just yourself in jeopardy, but innocent orphans and the entire orphanage.  Who knows what kind of trouble your lies will get them in.  Jeff, you need help.  By not seeking the help you need and going to Kenya, you are being incredibly selfish.

Would you please stop harassing me and misconstruing my intent.  You are the one being selfish by going on a witch hunt for any kind of lie you can find and then calling me a horrible person because of it.

I'm not harassing you.  You said you walked a mile.  You actually only walked less than .25 miles.  So around 75% of what you said was a lie.  I merely pointed that out.  If you don't like it, you can stop posting in the Update thread.  Or you can stop lying.  The ball's in your court.  But I'm not going to stop pointing out when you lie.  Eventually somebody other than yourself will be hurt by your lies.  I think you're getting defensive because you know I'm right.  Why do you feel the urge to lie so much?

You've already admitted you're probably bi-polar.  You compulsively lie.  Nowhere did I mention your intent.  I'm not misconstruing anything.  But a bi-polar compulsive liar does need some form of psychiatric help.  The fact that you continue lying time after time proves that you cannot manage your condition(s) on your own.  And those with psychological/psychiatric conditions who cannot manage them on their own need to seek professional help.

Yeah I can see myself putting enough weights in a backpack to equal 270 lbs. and still be able to walk a half mile, much less a quarter mile. And I'm sure there's plenty of professional football players who weigh over 270 lbs, even if it's mostly muscle instead. So really that just kind of underscores the point of how badly Bushie is even more.

I don't think he's as bad off as he claims; I think he does some of this for attention.

I feel sorry for your grandmother, but you have conveniently sidestepped the issue that you've been lying about exercising.  How do you expect to be able to help the orphanage if you can't even commit to walking a quarter of a mile a day?

I don't have to address that.

Then why on earth does this thread exist?  Again, if you get a kick out of hearing yourself talk (or in this case, watching yourself type), start a blog or a podcast.

But if you're going to spout off lies on the forum, you can bet that I'm going to hold you accountable for them.

You're taking money from people to go over to Kenya to do "God's work", yet it's highly questionable, if not even highly unlikely that you cannot perform the tasks that you claim you will be doing.

The problem is, often when we use friendly language, the lies continue.  It isn't until the harsh language comes out that you fully admit the real truth.
