The problem is, often when we use friendly language, the lies continue.  It isn't until the harsh language comes out that you fully admit the real truth.

I just added on to the end of the post.  I'm not looking for mushy or soft language.  I'm looking for a gentler, but firm reminder.  I don't respond well to belligerence.

Yet you provoke belligerence by maintaining your attitude. Or it's just what you want?

Like I said, when people are persistently belligerent, I tend to lash out or become defiant and that escalates things way beyond where it should have gone.  Part of the blame is on the belligerence, and part of the blame is that I haven't made any real, sustained effort to change.  It really does make a mountain out of a mole hill.  What should be settled in a post or two takes a page or two to settle.

Wrong.  Don't blame this on other people.  We posted doubts about you actually walking pages ago, and you didn't actually fess up until I became "persistently belligerent".  Your last post is absolutely right.  If you simply 1) told the truth to begin with, it'd be settled in a post; 2) if you lied, and then posted saying, "You know what, that wasn't true", it'd be settled in two posts.  But when you continue to lie for days and days, it takes pages to unravel your web of deceit.  Don't try to push this on others... the ball is completely in your court.  If you're 100% honest, people will be more cordial to you.

This was the same thing when you were claiming you lost weight.  We were all asking if you were actually losing weight.  It wasn't until we asked for proof that you admitted that you had lied.

I hope that you'll be turning over a new leaf and truly being honest, but if my memory serves me correctly, you've typically claimed that you'll stop lying every time a new lie is uncovered by someone on the forum.

This Update thread, is actually going to help me in a lot of ways.  First off, it's going to give me a place to vent, and in doing so it is going to give me a bunch of accountability partners.

People who point out your lies, only to have you change the subject and then never fix the problem aren't really accountability partners.  You're still morbidly obese, and you don't exercise.  Until those change, we're no more accountability partners than Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck are.

No; I don't want that.  I simply expect you to be honest.  And I fully expect you to walk tomorrow.

Then do something about it.  It's always that tomorrow you'll start your diet, or tomorrow you'll start walking.  Actually start.  And then keep it up consistently.  Unless you are in the hospital or it's thunderstorming, there is no good reason not to walk tomorrow.  You'll have time; even if that means spending less time on the forum.

And I suppose there is a ton of sugar in that iced tea?

Just one packet of Splenda or Sweet N Low per glass that is roughly 18 oz.

I am getting to where I can't do sweet iced tea.  That just tastes menacing.

Well caffeine is a diuretic, so you're losing some water just by drinking the tea.  Although that all depends on how much caffeine is in the tea.

Either way, if the tea is caffeinated, it doesn't really count as water consumption.

The tea my grandmother fixes is decaf.

Are you sure?

I'm pretty sure.  Her coffee is decaf, so I assume her tea is as well.  She doesn't like caffeine.  I'll have to look on the tea box for clarification.  I'll be over there tomorrow waiting for a new refrigerator to be delivered and installed.

Did you base your statement, "The tea my grandmother fixes is decaf" solely on the fact that she drinks decaf coffee?

I am so strung out on caffeine right now it's miserable. Don't drink eye double shot expresso from Starbucks very often.

I don't drink anything from Starbucks at all.  Too rich, too expensive, too liberal, too caffeinated, the list goes on.

What do you mean by that? It's expensive yes (but they gave me a free drink with a free extra shot since I had a free birthday drink on my care!), but the others?

Too rich:  Way too rich for my taste buds.
Too caffeinated:  I don't want to be wired at all hours of the night.
Too liberal:  Their CEO said recently, "If you don't support gay marriage, we don't want your business." or something to that effect.  I think he said that in retaliation to Chick-fil-A's conservative stance, but still that is just silly to say things like that.

Wrong.  Check your facts: http://www.snopes.com/politics/sexuality/starbucks.asp

I'm not intentionally leading everybody astray here.  Like I said, I'll check the box this evening and I'll report back what I find.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict that it's not decaf.  Now, I won't say you lied about it, but I'm guessing you probably made another bad assumption.

It's probably not decaf, but we'll see.

Wait a minute.... like 10 minutes ago, you were confident it was decaf.  Now you're saying it's probably not?

I'm truly not trying to turn this into a long discussion.  I'm just perplexed how it is that you've changed course so quickly from thinking it is decaf to thinking it's not.

Now, as far as the walking goes, tomorrow will be a challenge.  The rain is supposed to be moving out, but we're supposed to have a driving north wind, temperatures struggling to reach 41 with wind chills in the 20's all day.  I'm not going to make the decision on tomorrow until I wake up.  I'll be able to walk Wednesday, though, no problem if I get out there at the same time I did this morning.  Temperatures are supposed to reach 57 dwith bright sunshine, so it will be a little chilly, but very manageable.  At Noon, Mom and I are taking Grandma out to eat for her birthday.

Wear a freaking coat... no excuses, man.

Haha, suprisingly none of those four establishments appeal to me.  I'm not a big candy eater, I don't care for wings, and I have no gold to sell.

There will be no walking today, not because of the weather, but because it appears I'm going to have to stay close to the bathroom.  My stomach is not real happy this morning.  I'll get back out there tomorrow.

Here we go again...

Every day you don't walk, I'll add another image.

I don't think Bushie eating bacon and eggs for lunch after whining about a bad tum tum was smart.  Unless the tum tum was an excuse not to walk.

The stomach eased up, but then turned into major stiffness and aches in the back and the joints.  I think its just weather related.  I get this way in cold, damp weather.  It is legitimate, but is nothing to be worried about it.

As for the bacon and eggs, it was either that or go get something.  We seriously don't have much in the house and have not had time to go to Walmart because of having to spend a lot of time with the family.  Mom and I are going to Walmart tomorrow after we take Grandma to eat.  Before we even go to eat, I will be walking another 20-25 minutes.  I took a break for one day from the walking trail, so I hit pause, but I definitely did not hit stop.  I've got four days left this week, so I should be able to walk all four days.  There are thunderstorm chances on Friday, so I'll have to see, but if it is dry in the morning, I'm getting out there and walking because it will be mild.

You don't have any cereal? Granola? Fruit? Nothing?

Not until tomorrow afternoon.  We haven't had a chance to get to Walmart in a few days.  I mean, we have cereal, but no milk.  The fruit we do have is old and we don't do granola.

It the fruit is bad, why don't you throw it out?

You're starting to cross into the self-exaltation phase.  You don't need to point out every single flaw in my life.  I'm well aware I have so many flaws, but I don't need them pointed out on an hourly basis.

Lazy.  I'm not denying I'm lazy, I just don't like being pestered for every little fallacy I have.

However, walking is on the schedule tomorrow and Friday.  I have to go to Shawnee to pick up my medicine in the morning, but that's the only place I have to go, so there is no reason I cannot and will not get there, unless I get real sick or something which I don't anticipate.  Saturday, I'll be playing in the park with kiddos for three hours, so that will be just as good as walking, if not better, because I'll be running, jumping, playing games and just having a good time with the kids.

If you walked after, it'd be even better.
