"Murray also had been considered as a running mate for both Attorney General Mike DeWine and Secretary of State Jon Husted. But Murray saw her chances of being part of an establishment ticket eliminated last week, when Husted dropped out of the governor's race to become DeWine's running mate."

I'm not familiar with Ohio politics: What makes Murray such an attractive potential Lt. Governor? I understand trying to find someone with Cinci appeal, but she's just a City Councillor and barely won reelection last year and previously lost it in a past election?

Hearing credible rumors Nina Turner is going to jump in.

Oh man I would laugh so hard. Can you post a source?

No, just something at the ODP Holiday Party.

Hoping folks are wrong.

How did the people at the ODP Holiday Party feel about the possibility of Nina Turner running?

What does Nina Turner have to gain by running? She's prez of Our Revolution and, as far as I know, still has The Nina Turner Show (sounds fake, but I promise you it's real). She's also been involved with the DNC's Unity Commission. She has lots of things going on that are keeping her name and profile out there much better than a failed gubernatorial campaign would. She has been open with (as some of you have already mentioned) her disagreements/quarrels with the state party, so surely she knows it'd be tough to even get a campaign started, and with so much competition already and many of the progressive endorsements already gone? Why bother?

So Cordray is set to make an announcement on Wednesday which is likely to be his Lieutenant Governor pick: https://twitter.com/RichCordray/status/950531319221686272

Jus saw some former state rep was like the first comment and stuff. I assume you’re from Ohio is there a chance that guy Rich Miller is Lt. gov? Or I thought I could be Pillich or Whaley.

I hope so simply because that guy's Twitter header looks like he's posing for Playgirl

Assad being a possible topic in the Ohio gubernatorial election is quintessential post-Trump politics. We fall further down the rabbit hole every day.

The ORP has endorsed Mike DeWine in the governor’s race after Mary Taylor begged them to make no endorsement. Now, she is saying she won’t support DeWine should — AKA: when — he win(s) the primary.
What does she have against DeWine?

Funny she's knocking them as career politicians considering she was elected to Green City Council in 2001, Ohio House of Representatives in 2003, Auditor of Ohio in 2007, and Lieutenant Governor of Ohio in 2011 and is now running for Governor.
