Can I request FMR Gov. Ernie Fletcher as my candidate for the Republican Nomination?

Several new posters, interesting. Again, gentlemen, my concern is activity. If you can pledge to be active, then sure, you can join, so please reply ASAP to see if I can add you to the turn. In principle I have no issue with Gingrich and Fletcher, but Powell as a candidate would be a no.
I can pledge to be active.

Noted, you can post your opening speech on the Gameplay thread. Once all the new candidates are sorted out there will be a news article on the new entries, as well as some national polling (and updated debate questions).

My problem is that I don't know how to insert an image. I think I need to insert a link? But then I need 20 forum posts.

Okay, I can't send direct messages, so I dunno how I'll do that. I do have the picture on my images on my profile though.

Got it. Post your speech and I'll try to include the picture.
I just got my speech done, so if you can try to include the picture where it says it's supposed to be, thanks.

How do I go about getting endorsements? I'm looking to get the endorsement of Sen. Marco Rubio.

They are requested via PM. In the meantime you can ask for them here if you want, but Rubio was taken by a player earlier today.

Can I get an endorsement from Gov. Mitch Daniels and Gov. Rick Perry? (and if not Perry, then Rob Portman)

Sorry, but no. I'm trying to be more or less realistic with endorsements, and with Fletcher being a late entry (who can rise, but starts low on the polls) it would be unlikely by Daniels or Perry to endorse him. Portman is more unlikely due to Fletcher's social conservatism.

(I would suggest Kentucky Republicans as a good starting point, or some GOP figures in the House who may have worked with Fletcher when he was in Congress)
How about Rep. Mike Pence? They were together in the house (from 2001 - 2003) and both social conservatives. Although, he really isn't that popular or known right now.

And maybe FMR Gov. Sonny Perdue, they were both Southern Governors from 2003 - 2007 and are both social conservatives.

Also, if I can ask, where did you find that picture of Ernie Fletcher in the News Report? I've literally never seen that one.

I typed "Governor Ernie Fletcher" on Google Images, went down 30-40 lines of pictures or so and found it.

Original:

Ah okay, that's weird cause I've never seen it. Also, can you help me post my campaign banner when I upload my October Schedule? I'm about to upload it to my gallery.

Evans,

Players polling less than 10% can only post 1 ad per turn. Your first ad will be considered, the second noted as not having been aired. You can recycle it for the next turn if you want.

30 minutes!
K, I'll just air it next turn.

Turn just about to end?

I think Evans means it's been 3 hours since 6, when you said 3 hours left.
Yup, that's what I meant. I was just confused.

Actually, LBJ withdrew in the 1968 DEM primary. Had he continued, he would've been primaried, of course. Interestingly enough, all Democrats.
He announced his campaign though and went all the way to the state primaries therefore he got primaried.

Sorry, a McCain run in 2012 would not be realistic at all. I'm still acepting late Dem or GOP entries, but it would have to be another candidate.

McCain was considered one of the potential candidates of 2012 though.

Do I need to be doing individual rallies or can I just do my calendar like I'm doing now?

I try several times to get Mitch Daniel's endorsement and even have the endorsement of his future successor (and only republican candidate to seek the position of his) and Chris Christie just gets it. smh

RIP, Fletcher
It's even worse that Mitch and Fletcher were governors at the same time and were supporting each other.

You can get McConnel.

Okay, a couple of notes:

-This turn still has 18 hours left, it lasts until the afternoon of Sunday.
-The article is coming within the next two hours, Obama and another important candidate are dropping out.
still wondering why Daniels would ever get within 100 miles of Chris Christie

I think this is before Bridgegate
Still, they're on opposite ends of the Republican spectrum for some issues.

I think Obama should stay if someone is willing to play as him.

Biden makes sense and makes the democrat primary more interesting.

Fwiw I was very surprised that the republican primary has the most active people picking rather low energy candidates Tongue if we'd had Palin/Perry/Huckabee etc it would have been much harder for Christie
Fletcher isn't low energy
