Your comment comparing this to Jon Corzine's injury had nothing to do with the topic at hand and was rather crude and despicable.

That being said, your comment was nowhere near as despicable as most of the posts on this thread, so maybe you can talk some solace in that fact.

Idk about that, Jerry Falwell does not have a direct impact on your life as Corzine has on mine.  The impact may be indirect and not really definitive, but certainly not direct.  However, Sam is right and this thread should be talking about the late-great Jerry Falwell

There's a difference between wishing someone dies when they are alive when you don't share the same policy positions and when one recollects on someone's life who was full of hate and bigotry. Saying gays were responsible for 9/11 and advocating for segregation are not policy positions. It's called hate and discrimination.

Now if say Trent Lott were to die tomorrow, there wouldnt be someone on this forum who'd attack him as they did Jerry Falwell. That would be wrong because he doesnt say crazy, sleazy stuff like Jerry Falwell did. 

Besides when it comes down to it, DWDL was probably kidding and didnt wish or doesnt wish him any harm.

I don't wish him dead necessarily, I just wish he would have something happen to him to make him leave political life, a scandal would be better than an assassination in my opinion
