Edwards is a a candidate that could perhaps run. He could use his "Two Americas" slogan and run a progressive campaign, talking about inequality and poverty in the US. That combined with the fact that he's a white man he could unite the dems and attract independents.

You're trolling, right?

We're talking about the same John Edwards who was cheating on his dying wife with a campaign worker, and fathered a child with her, and was indicted was six felonies regarding using political donations to cover up said affair?

Either you are trolling, you are the most crazy GOP hack here, or you are insane.
It's not that wild to imagine. Sanford cheated on his wife, some years later after being out of the spotlight he runs for congress and wins. That stuff was years ago, I don't think it will have a huge effect on John's campaign.

The difference between Mark Sanford and John Edwards is that Sanford's wife didn't have terminal cancer.
Well, you can't blame Edwards for that. I dunno, I am just speculating. For me it doesn't sound that outlandish.

Are we seriously about to throw away NC-SEN '20 just because we can't find anyone? I thought Schumer was better at recruitment than this...
The problem is that the democratic bench is incredibly weak. All the democrats got wiped out in the previous elections. Even Cooper could end up being wiped out next year.

The fact that he swapped messages with the wife of another veteran, will quite frankly tank his poll numbers.

He's John Edwards 2.0

Trump paid off a pornstar, who cares.
Trump is a different animal, he's taken on literally 100s of scandals and controversies, and he's still fighting.

A senate GOP majority is the only thing stopping dems from packing the courts and taking over everything if Biden were to become president.

Apparently when one of Thom Tillis' constituents, a cancer patient, contacted his office to relay her concerns about affording healthcare, she was literally told, "If you can't afford it then you don't deserve it."

Thom Tillis Staffer Tells a Cancer Survivor to Not Get Health Coverage if She Can’t Afford It

Quote
During a recent call with the staffer, which was recorded and is now circulating widely, a frustrated Bev Veals, who has survived cancer three times, asked several variations of that question and was met with nonchalance.

“You’re saying that, if you can’t afford it, you don’t get to have it—and that includes health care?” said Veals, a three-time cancer survivor.

“Yeah, just like if I want to go to the store and buy a new dress shirt. If I can’t afford that dress shirt, I don’t get to get it,” said the staffer.

“But health care is something that people need—especially if they have cancer.”

“Well, you got to find a way to get it.”
This is like a month old.

Democrats should have just recruited John Edwards, at this point, there is really no difference between him and Cunningham.
