the fact the you guys have something sold in supermarkets that claims to be "cheese" and yet, isn't cheese.
Literally doing that is against the law. If it is called cheese, it has to be cheese made in the traditional cheese making process.
Otherwise it has to be called "prepared cheese product" to indicate it is cheese-like, but not cheese.
But the best thing about American supermarkets is that you can buy imported cheese from all over the world, domestic cheese, AND processed "fake cheese" product or even vegan faux cheese.
