Pat Buchanan is being a ridiculous racist.

I'll switch to CNN then.

What did he say?
Talking about how because Obama won only 24% of the white vote (which is more than many thought he would, as everyone else at the table was pointing out) means that whites across the county will think that he'll lose miserably in the states from Texas to Virginia. Like we need to win the racists in Texas anyway.

Luckily, the other talking heads, from CNN to MSNBC, are talking about how well Obama did among whites.

If Obama breaks 50%, then he should get one hell of a bump.

I love how big a spin everyone has on this. The Democratic Primary has become a white vs black race. I saw the exit poll results on MSNBC, and only 16% of 60+ white voters went for Obama.
So... the old racist whites voted against the Negro. Big surprise.

Obama won among young whites, who no longer decide things by race, as the Clinton campaign would have us.

Yeah, that's why I had to turn MSNBC off. He's MSNBC's Lou Dobbs; at least CNN understand that Lou Dobbs needs to be isolated into his own one hour block.

Edwards won Oconee County (his home county), so Obama gets the other 44 counties unless something changes radically somewhere.

I thought Hillary got the Myrtle Beach county?
Cherokee is still very close.

So, the polls were once again 15 points off.

Luckily, they were 15 points wrong in the other direction. Grin

Congrats to Obama. This is an impressive win and after all the mudslinging it's not surprise that he was able to emphasize the positives. I really hope Hillary will run a campaign more focused on the positives in the next week.
If more Hillary supporters were as gracious and magnanimous as you, I'd be more inclined to support your candidate in the general. I wish you'd talk to those Clinton folks on MYDD and Hillaryis44 who insist on tearing down Obama and Edwards.

There's Clinton people on MyDD? Weird.
MyDD has quite a vocal Clinton contingent. They're in the minority, but they're by far the loudest of the three candidate's supporters.
