He just owned the DFL controlled legislature on matters of spending, which can only boost his conservative credentials especially considering economic issues will likely still be at the forefront.

I can't really see him leading a ticket but he'd probably make a decent running mate for just about anyone.

But, how well can he play the attack dog?

If Obie's looking unbeatable, I think T-Paw would make a decent sacrificial limb.

I don't see him as an attackive person who would go after Obama's record. I also don't see him as a charismatic candidate who would fire up his supporters. He would be a good  sacrificial limb though, since he has no major flaws, like many other GOP candidates.
yeah. not "attackive" at all.

I personally think he'd be a great GOP presidential candidate, but he may not make the fundies happy enough.

That's my point.  If he can't play the "attack dog" role well, he shouldn't be the Vice Presidential candidate.  An "attackive" VP allows the presidential candidate to seem "above the fray" and post-partisan.
