Context:

I read this after reading the article about Chris Christie and Islam.

I didn't think it was possibly for me to hear my brain cells committing suicide.
Wait, King has braincells? Huh

That's not a compliment. This is King we're talking about.

'Seems legit' is, to be quite honest, one of my favorite bits of Internet jargon ever. True story.
Seems legit.

That doesn't belong here. That belongs in the Good Post Archive.

Typos can be funny:
Right. Because the sensible, are apparently the ones who wants a federal reserve system owned by bakers [...]
Worse things could be fathomed. Heck, worse things have been tried.

It might be an honest statement, a (...) diversion, or...
Both. And quite well done.

You didn't win anything.  You weren't victorious because you weren't fighting anybody.  I made a mistake thinking people wouldn't care about the forum being locked.  When it became apparent that you weren't the only one desperately attached to its existence, I unlocked it... no fight.  No victory.  No winning... just realizing I incorrectly gauged the forum.
"No fight" because you realized resistance was futile - ie you got clobbered and there was nothing you could have done to prevent it except not locking the Institute.

Sounds like a victory to me.

No... the second I would've seen support for Phil's wishes, I would've unlocked the thread.  The only reason I didn't was because I was in class right after I locked it.
Please do not try to confuse me with barely-relevant facts. My mind is quite made up. As the self-appointed referee in this match, I declare Phil the winner.

Whether or not you believe me is irrelevant (...) you can't know my thought process.
Phil's beliefs are irrelevant and he doesn't know ESP. These are personal attacks, if you will.

Alright. I'll be quiet now.

I too tend to dismiss science and most math as witchcraft and voodoo, but that's for reasons entirely apolitical and irreligious.

I found that funny.
