Obviously the amendments on the floor need a little more debate before going to any votes...

meanwhile I would urge the esteemed Senator who is down with the left to reword his amendment slightly, as it currently reads (in part):

Amendment to change Section 3 to read:

"3. Any and all funds raised from this levy shall be directed towards toward improvements in mass transits.

[snip]

And add a Section 5:
"The fund shall be run be each region individually"

It would probably make sense to specify (at least approximately) the process by which each region's citizens would decide what to spend the money on.

Amendment to change Section 4 to read:
4. The expenditure of monies from the environmentalbag tax shall be made on projects dedicated to improving the environment mass transit systems of Atlasia as may be approved by the President of Atlasia, or such persons as he may appoint to do same. citizens of each region

The vote is on the amendment (Sensei's amendment to come up afterwards).

Nay.

We voted in new money for mass transits already. My vote is nothing to do with the regional thingy, nor with the amendment's sponsor.

Oh wait. I was going to say "yeah hi, I'm back! Sorry for the absence!" and then post a vote count, but I just realized that my term as PPT ended 40 minutes ago. Cheesy

So yeah, hi, I'm back! Sorry for the absence!

The new VP and/or the new Dean (Culture King I suppose?) get to business, open a PPT thread and an expired legislation thread, please. Smiley

Oh, and close and open votes and stuff. For the time being.

Okay... it seems the PPT post is vacant and the VP hasn't sworn in yet, so the Dean of the Senate gets to do things. Culture King has resigned, 3 Senators are new (PiT, Happy, Andrew), 4 are two months old (Sensei, Al, Jas, Dwtl), 2 are four months old (Torie and me), the OSPR uses swearing-in time as a tiebreaker and I swore in before Torie. So I can actually keep on running my little empire here. Grin

Getting to business in a second...

Sorry, last two votes were cast after the vote timed out (besides, you're voting against your own amendment again, Sensei. Huh This your new policy or something?).

Final vote count:

Aye 4 (Dwtl, Culture King, Happy, PiT)
Nay 4 (Lewis, Torie, Jas, AndrewCT)
did not vote 2 (Al, Sensei)

The Vice President gets to do his duty.
