President George W. Bush (R-TX) / Vice President Dick Cheney (R-WY) ✓
Businessman Donald Trump (D-NY) / Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN)The Trump campaign emerges as an alternative to Flip Floppin' Kerry, Screamin' Dean, and something mildly creative for John Edwards. His anti-Iraq War stance is controversial and proves a liability as Bush uses the immediate post-9/11 patriotic atmosphere against him. America decides against a bombastic liberal personality at the helm during uncertain times. West Virginia is closer because of Trump's protectionism, but environmentalism has already killed the Democratic brand there. Trump likely goes on to become a mayor or maybe even a governor, and supports whatever populist candidate emerges in a future election. Things get interesting for 2008 if Obama's keynote speech gets butterflied away.
