why is tax-and-spend such an insult, anyway? wouldn't not-tax-but-spend or tax-and-keep be worse?
Yeah Republicans are stupid on this issue.

Exit Polls suggest either Romney or Huckabee will win.

Odd differences:
Protestant Weekly: Huckabee 42%, Romney 32%, McCain 24%
Protestant Less Often: Romney 41%, McCain 31%, Huckabee 17%

Hahahahaha. All of the political pundits are surprised by Huckabee voters supporting McCain as a second choice. Idiots. I know more than them and I am 13.

I'm torn... I'd like Huck to still be viable but at the same time Mitt needs to win everything he can to take out Mac... decisions, decisions...

Why do you want Huck to be viable? All he's doing is hindering Romney (Slightly). Support Romney
He is actually hindering McCain.

No.... why do you think Romney is in an uproar over Huckabee staying it? For that matter, why do you think Huckabee is even staying in. He knows he can screw over Romney in states like Missouri.
Romney doesn't know the voters well. Seriously. Huckabee's supporters like McCain more, just by bit. The reason why is that Romney is a Mormon and he looks more fake and whiny than McCain.

Haven't read through all 12 pages of comments, but does anyone know if there's an up to the minute map of who's won each state (for either party)?  I'm a very visual person.  Wink

Well if you want a county map:

McCain leads by 2% in Montana with 13% of the vote in.

It will be interesting to see how Yellowstone County (Billings) divides.  That's a solid conservative Republican area.

Romney?

In theory.
I say he takes it by a decent margin. Romney does well in conservative, urban and suburban areas.

I say Huckabee wins Alabama by a comfortable margin. Only Birmingham and Montgomery are reporting and they are more moderate than the countryside.

MSNBC just called it for Huckabee even though McCain's a little bit ahead

I don't understand it.  According to CNN, McCain now has a six point lead over Huckabee at this stage in Alabama (McCain: 41%; Huckabee: 35%; Romney: 19%), though this is with only 10% of the vote counted.
This is in cities. The fact that it is so close with Birmingham and Montgomery almost completley in shows that he has no chance of winning.

Oh, and one other thing -if I were you, I wouldn't call a six or nine-point lead as being particularly 'so close'.
Close considering these are counties, rather than a whole state. There are NO results from rural areas.

Romney's party sounds like a Nazi rally with the "We haven't" chants.

He did that last speech too.
While I agree that Romney is a Fascist, I don't think that having speeches in the same model as Hitlers but without the content is a bad thing. He was one of the most evil people ever, but you cannot deny he was a great orator, that spoke about all the wrong things.

Romney's going to take North Dakota and Montana, and quite possibly Colorado.
Maybe Minnesota too...
