Contrary to what you think, there ARE rasicts in the Democratic party. Holdovers from the Solid South days, mostly.
Of course there are some, but I would say that farmers in the Panhandle are not racist compared to those in Eastern Texas.

Well I meant in the Midwest, German Catholics are the Moderate Republicans, while Scandinavian Protestants are Liberal Democrats, and English Evangelicals are Conservative Republicans.
That could be regional though.

The German Catholics in Minnesota really only went for the Democrat once, in 1960, for JFK, for obvious reasons, one more comma to give the sentence a nice even number of them.
Well they are still more moderate than English Evangelicals and are more split than them.
