All four debates are now over. Moving beyond who won this or that debate either on substance or or substance, the bigger question is, which ticket gained the most? Who comes out of the four debates stronger?

My opinion....
Not to sound like a hack, but while I (and polls) believe Obama/Biden won 3 out of 4 debates, I think Romney/Ryan emerged stronger. The first debate reset the election and transformed Romney into an acceptable president. The subsequent lost debates didn't change that or didn't change it enough to alter the new dynamic. Romney went in a loser and came out a credible president.

There is something going on with the tracking polls today. So far every one has shown an increase with Obama except Rasmussen. And Rasmussen actively weights their polls for Party ID (currently D+1) so the poll doesn't show shifts in enthusiasm.

It might be an anomaly or statistical noise but with just one day of post Debate 3 polling there is a whiff that Obama may have won a tie-breaker. We will see if the trend continues. Even still Obama may never return to his +3 levels before Debate 1 so the net effect will still probably be that Romney benefited more from the series. But there is a chance that his benefit might be smaller than we first thought.
