Going by what's out, I think Quinn should still pull off the upset.

I think Quinn might be in trouble after all....Cook Co. doesn't have enough left.

Do you all have Adams County at only 12% reporting as well? Bad, very bad for Quinn. Leans Brady now, I believe. Sad

OK the Adams County thing is a mistake.

Looks like it might go to a recount....but Quinn probably is at a 50%+ probability to win at this point, even though it's absurdly close.

Reminds me of primary night back in February. Certainly the most interesting election cycle Illinois has had in A LONG TIME.

pretty stable at this point.....about 0.2 or 0.3% ahead. There'll be a recount.

When has a governor as unpopular as Quinn ever won re-election?

The devil we know seems to be less dangerous.

Tell what you want about Quinn but the guy is a real survivor.

Yes indeed he is. Behind in every primary poll....behind in every general election poll, and appears to have won both.

Happy to vote for him.

I voted against the Illinois proposition....I just hate the principle of recalls, but at least IL has made it quite difficult to actually do.

Illinois statewide offices were more interesting than usual....even though Lisa Madigan obviously got her landslide.....because Republicans picked up Treasurer and Comptroller. The latter means the political comeback of Judy Baar Topinka (who I couldn't resist voting for!).

The "retention system" is obviously better than competitive elections....or even worse....partisan competitive elections, but this case shows what really shouldn't be happening.

People fired the judges because they don't like gay marriage....not because they know or care about the law.

Brady doesn't have the votes guys.  This one is done imo.

I think you're right....but Brady has suggested that he might want to drag this out for a month or so until results are certified.

Hopefully he also moves to Oklahoma.

I'd support tax Money going towards the purchase of a one way ticket.

What's going on in Vermont? None of the media outlets have called it yet and the numbers haven't moved in days. Looks like Shumlin's pretty clearly won IMO.

Dubie has conceded.
