To be fair, no administration expects these things to be made public. And I doubt this really has much of an effect on international relations.

Eh, even though they mock Cameron and Osbourne, it would be nice if they stopped showing contempt for their allies.

Oh God do you really think only US diplomats make this type of comment when talking about foreign politicians?

It's perfectly normal for diplomats to say what's on their mind internally.

Yeah it gives you another chance to complain.....but seriously, try to remain somewhat honest.

But Phil, regardless of what politicians in Europe think.....he's still HUGELY popular among average citizens.

Obama definitely has improved America's standing here greatly.

(And no matter what actual policies he advocates, that's going to stay true, I expect. Nobody I talk to here can understand how I brought myself to vote Republican this year...."You voted against Obama, what???")

Meanwhile, when you interrupt their Obama love session, remind them that Obama supports that mosque in New York City. Maybe that will cause them to reverse their positions on almost literally wanting to ship Muslims out of Europe. Maybe.

No, in that case, it's none of their business. If it were reversed though, and America were banning mosques, then you can imagine what their reaction would be.
